Duy's DIY Adventures 009: Curtain Room Dividers
Duy's DIY Adventures 009: Curtain Room Dividers
In this episode, I try to install a budget-friendly room divider that will act as a video conferencing background during WFH. It will also serve as a physical divider to separate my office from my sleeping area.

A couple of suggestions for hemming in the comments:
…Have a friend that can sew
…Hem tape such as stitch witchery
Hey I have a question, what if you want a longer rod? Where or how can I get that?
Cool video! Could you let us know what kind of accent light you’re using? Also, what lighting do you use to light up your face? Really good lighting!

Hey Duy,
😉
3:22 – are the guns 💪 a required tool for this project?? Asking for myself lol
Great job! You can use hem adhesive from Amazon for less than 2 bucks! You’ll just need measuring tape and an iron
You deserve a lot of subscribers. Thank you!
This is what I’m trying to do in my basement to hide my furnace and hot water heater, since the basement is not finished right now. I’m going to Home Depot to get the materials, after I go measure the space. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Use e6000 glue to hem
Plz make ceiling video of house
Looks great and a lot less work and expense!!👍🏼👍🏼
I love this! I need it for my Videography Studio. I am unable to Mount anything to the ceiling though because it’s the removable kind but is there anything you’d recommend to do this from wall to wall?
Fucking adorable 😍 leave the clips xoxo
Thank you great idea !!!!!
Cleaver!!
Thanks, I finally have an idea
Very smart solution and on a budget no less!

This is exactly what I was looking for I’m trying to make a smaller personal office/private room in my room on a budget and this is just genius. Thank you
Great job. Also you can explore other option if you get tired of the curtain, buy fabric of any chosen print at Hobby Lobby or Joanne or Walmart, attach clips(grabbers with a circle) (you can find at BathBedBeyound or in any curtains, bath section) and put the grabbers on the fabric and slide the circle on the rod. Also to give a romantic, cozy look, you can also have a white fabric or buy curtain 2 panels to split in the middle and each half to each side. It’s so nice, do it for romantic event and you will impress your girlfriend and you will say: "I am independent: I made it". And will say: "that’s my boy", or she will ask you to make in her bedroom to make the cannopy look?
Hem tape or glue the curtains to hem.
What was the height of your curtains? 🙂
Very nice going
Instead of the clips, you can also use safety pins. You won’t see it at all. No need to sew if you don’t have to. I use pins on curtains that I use for multiple windows when changing curtains, some windows need it longer and some need it shorter so I like it being a temporary fix.
Love the idea, it looks great.
For you guys PVC folding door better than curtains and "cheap"
Great idea.
Love the transformation from the POV of the office from the beginning to end
Just use hemming tape for the bottom of your curtain lol.
Thank you!
This is probably the cheapest idea I’ve seen, I definitely might try this
Well done
great video
Staples could be good
That was great Sir, for doing by yourself. Installing that curtains. I want also do it by my self insatalling curtain rod on my window soon. Thank you for this video Sir.
Is that pain on Ur ceiling?
I used those exact rods, but black, for outside curtains. We needed them for our lanai and pool privacy. A house was being built next door with complete view of our back yard. We planted clusia bushes and needed the curtains until the clusia grew enough for privacy. The curtains had the holes on the top and bottom to keep them from flying in the wind. They worked great and we were really happy with them. The heavy duty outdoor curtains worked for about 5 months before deteriorating in the harsh South Florida weather, they started letting off a fine dust. I needed to dump them. By that time the bushes grew large enough anyway. The rods rusted but still usable. Just needed to be cleaned. They are really good rods and I would use them again, even for outside. Just not the curtains. Need something to last longer. Eventually, someone will build a house on the other side of us and we’d need to find curtains for that side. The clusia on that side are smaller and taking longer to grow.
This is awesome thank you for sharing!
Great!
It’s called Duct Tape Lol!
Hi, what drill bit size did you use?
Why didn’t you use pvc pipe? If I do this project I’ll try pvc pipe
Does blackout curtain will help to insulate the room to help aircon cool fast?
Love it
Nice
Good job! Quick, easy, inexpensive, and very effective!
You can also, get a glue gun; and glue the hem. ☺️
Hello, thanks for sharing. I am trying to order the mounts. Have to order them online. Where can I find the item number?
I like you…
Duy, it doesn’t look ghetto at all. The clips make it look "industrialized." The clips also can serve as a weight for the ends. You know what’s ghetto, it’s my solution to curtain hemming with clear tape. 🤗 Now that’s ghetto, but it works until you wash them. Good problem solving on ur part.
YAS Mr. Bean!
Hem tape it’s white its about the width of masking tape. You use an iron to hem with it . https://www.amazon.com/Outus-Fabric-Fusing-Adhesive-Iron/dp/B06VVJXQS4/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=hem+tape&qid=1624435755&sr=8-5
