Great footage! I liked the video, and was the 1st I’ve seen of yours. I did like that there was no narration, and that the video spoke for itself. Well done.

Your videos are so magnificent they seriously make me cry each time i watch them. You’re photography is unlike anyone else’s I’ve ever seen. an incredibly gifted human being. I used to be a pro photographer who was sponsored by Kodak and Nikon etc..: YOU should be doing TV commercials for Jeep, and every other company whose products you use including your photo gear and your drones. For all The hardship you endured with the loss of your gear (and all the footage on your hard drives which pains me deeply as a fellow photographer ) something tells me this next chapter in your life is going to be absolutely magnificent, far beyond your wildest dreams and this will make you forget all about that. The footage tire going to create will be far superior (if that’s even possible) than what you have done in the past. I wish you alll the best in 2022 and thank you for sharing your amazing life with all of us. Hope to see you out on the trail one day. Look for me in my crazy red Jeep with the colorful crochet exterior decor and the bamboo tiki interior with tiki bar! 😘

Still trying to pick my jaw up off the ground. It’s difficult to articulate how beautiful it is on video, can’t imagine what it’s like in person. Thanks for sharing.

Hello. Someone randomly sent me one of your videos and I’ve been binge watching them for two days now. You camp and hike in some of the same places that I have, and I often go alone as you do. I don’t do it near enough, particularly as I get older, so your stuff is really cathartic for me.

You asked for opinions about the style of the video – basically whether a lot of narration is necessary. I enjoy both styles in different ways. I like the narration because it fills in a lot of the blanks for the viewer, but it also stresses me out a little because I know how rare it is to be able to enjoy complete solitude and quiet, and for me personally, camping alone is one of the few times I’m able to experience that. Thinking of you having to do narrations to the camera when you’re alone in the backwoods seems like having to answer your email the whole time you’re there.

I would say that the best solution is to introduce the vlog, with the usual details about when and where you are going and what you hope to do, and then a summary at the end, but all the rest is just you doing your thing free of real-time narration, as in this video. Then later when you edit, just add captions explaining the details that you used to include live. To me that would be a perfect combination of both formats. Captions would allow for interacting with your audience without violating the sense of solitude. If something crazy happened you could choose to break the rule, say to talk about a bear encounter or an extreme weather event.

Sugar in your French toast? That’s what the syrup is for. For God’s sake, man…

  28. Gokalp Tahmaz on February 11, 2022 at 11:18 pm

This 21 mins journey taken me to a completely different world , slow motion drone recordings was perfect, i would ask a little more drone additions, this new type of filming was perfecto, i simply like too much . Keep it in that way… 💪 regards from Turkey!

How can I find this camp area? You have the longitude + latitude or the name of the road to get up? The only thing I see in your video is Kokopelli signage.

I’m new but where’s the fridge he’s pulling all this food from?

  44. lord lem on February 11, 2022 at 11:39 pm

I think it’s important for content creators like yourself to keep doing what you do. Our country is a beautiful one and I think more people need to go out and see it in person. But for those of us who can’t, seeing it through your eyes is the next best thing.

I would recommend you stay away from peters Honda Nashua, they’re nothing but a bunch of snakes in the grass! Try to soak us out of, as they put it, up to $4000 worth of work on my sons car for a new wiring harness for the ECM on his car… as well as exhaust system. We had the car towed from there to our driveway, spent $900 on a brand new ECM, plugged it in and the car has been working perfectly ever cents. Went to have the exhaust checked prior to getting a new sticker and were told by Meineke but there was absolutely nothing wrong with the exhaust system. As I said, we as a family would recommend you staying away from peters of Nashua New Hampshire. Snakes! Nuff’ said…
