Every Camper Should Try THIS! Hammock Camping Spreader Bars!

Every Camper Should Try THIS! Hammock Camping Spreader Bars!

Hammock camping can be AMAZING!

I used to jump into one of those classic weaved hammocks and snooze for hours. But wake up a bit sore and crammed.

There are some pretty awesome setups out there, keep an eye out for a Bridge Hammock if your a side sleeper, and make sure it has a mosquito net, and slot to slide in a sleeping pad.

Also test to see how stable they are!!!

I’ve had this one for years, and it’s made by @warbonnetoutdoors and called a RidgeRunner.

Disclaimer: I made this on my own without any affiliation with them. I just love quality gear!

You cant sleep on your side in those hammocks even tho they have those spreader bars..
    I’ve tried…

  7. Boris Despotovic on June 24, 2023 at 3:59 pm

If you’re going to use bars, sleeping pad an two trees you could might as well just use a tent! You just need ground.

  33. Ruth Thinking, Outside. on June 24, 2023 at 4:37 pm

I’ve been hammock camping for years, my little dog even sleeps in it with me.. but my entire setup is roughly $100
    Or
It was 🙄 might be a little more now..
and since I’m in New England, I prefer to have a separate bug net, because several months of the year it’s not totally “necessary”..

But if anyone is considering hammocks? DO IT..
I’m now closer to 50 than 40 and I have major back, spine and other issues.. after years of hating the morning pains, I feel 100x better even though I’m physically worse, just for the benefit of the hammock setup.. nevermind the gear reduction all around.. tarp weights virtually nothing compared to the enclosed tent, and even all gear compared is more manageable, quieter and faster, and infinitely more flexible.. you can sling a hammock up basically anywhere you can get tie offs, no smooth, not rutted, non rocky, relatively flat or dry ground needed..
I recommend trying hammocks to everyone who asks me about camping..
especially when you can get decent quality ones inexpensively to try it out.. and unlike a tent, you can use the hammock for dozens of other things that a tent would sit in storage.. going to the lake to swim, put it in the trees, I watched my kids from the hammock every summer for years.. put it up in the yard, take to parties or whatever etc etc..
I’ve certainly used a hammock many many times more than the tent 😁😁

What about bears? Mmm meat between two trees 😂

  35. Tony DC on June 24, 2023 at 4:39 pm

  36. Somem8plebo1 Ye on June 24, 2023 at 4:41 pm

What’s the name of the hammock?

  37. CD D on June 24, 2023 at 4:42 pm

But..where do my pups sleep? 😉

  38. Matchew Outdoors on June 24, 2023 at 4:43 pm

If you hang it right you can lay sideways in a regular hammock you just have to know what you’re doing you don’t have to waste all this money on all this unnecessary shit

  39. Patricia Stordahl on June 24, 2023 at 4:45 pm

No way in this life Id sleep where a bear could eat me

  40. Michael Robinson on June 24, 2023 at 4:45 pm

    Great a bear taco

  41. Photo Sushi IV on June 24, 2023 at 4:46 pm

Where can you get just the spreader bars?

  42. Echo Kilo on June 24, 2023 at 4:48 pm

    Waste of space and money.
Sleep on the ground. Spray sleeping gear with high deet content bug spray.

  43. R on June 24, 2023 at 4:49 pm

  44. Son Kakarotto on June 24, 2023 at 4:51 pm

About 10 years ago i bought my first ENO.. hammock plus straps came out to 100 bucks (which was steep for me then) i got it.. found a spot to hang it.. layed down and thought… holy shit this thing is uncomfortable 😅

  45. Aaron Watkins on June 24, 2023 at 4:53 pm

  49. Stephen Lambert on June 24, 2023 at 4:54 pm

Thing is if you can’t sleep sideways in a gathered end hammock then you are probably not going to be comfortable on your side in that either.the AMOK hammock looks to cure that though

  50. GenZ life coach on June 24, 2023 at 4:55 pm

Can someone please tell me what this hammock is called 😂😅 I have a camping trip coming up
