Happy Monday everyone! I’ve been busy working on my bathroom to get it ready for you guys and I’m super excited to finally share it with you! This diy bathroom makeover is literally everything I envisioned and I’m so happy with how it turned out! It is the exact boho/ midcentury vibe I was going for, and this video will show you how I did diy floor tiling, diy marble counters, diy shelves, and some diy decor as well!

I’d also really love & appreciate it if you follow me on Insta @diydalia_

Check out the dollar store DIYs that I used as decor on my diy shelves (the the textured vase & the top shelf bamboo frame)

PRODUCTS I USED IN THIS VIDEO
Vanity Light: https://amzn.to/2Mz1gc4
Marble contact paper – https://amzn.to/3d3yzj1
Wood grain contact paper – https://amzn.to/2LZzUvE
Floor tiles (there are lots of different designs!) – https://amzn.to/2XtWzWc
Towel Hooks: https://amzn.to/2XtXbes
Toilet Paper Holder: https://amzn.to/2TAbLQi
Shelf Brackets: https://amzn.to/3gZPoOb

This diy renter friendly bathroom makeover is totally rental friendly IF you know how to patch little holes in the wall. I never used to know how to do any of that stuff and would literally avoid putting a nail in the wall. But when you get more comfortable with it, it really allows you to be a lot more adventurous with your designs :).

It turned out so great! What a transformation, and I love all of your DIYs. One question: have you thought about maybe spray painting the sink faucet matte black to match your other fixtures? Just curious. Or maybe you can’t since you’re renting which makes sense.

Beautiful job. I think you have a very nice remake over for a standard bathroom for apartment living.

  17. Bonnie Jane on May 8, 2021 at 3:22 am

We love a makeover that isnโ€™t just โ€œI put a flowerโ€ and itโ€™s actually like โ€œI single handedly remodeled a whole bathroom with like real tools and shitโ€

  18. Rae D on May 8, 2021 at 3:22 am

Do you leave your appliances when you move or put theirs back in place?

    PRO TIP:
For anyone using contact paper to cover literally whatever it is youโ€™re covering and you do end up with little bubbles (like mentioned in the video) you should
One: use an old gift card, or debit card to apply the contact paper and do it in super small sections. Donโ€™t just peel off a giant piece and then place it down.
Two: if you still have little bubbles in places take a craft knife (the ones that have the sort of triangular blade) and use the very tip to poke and pin prick size hole so you can then take you the card you used to place down the contact paper and push the air that has been trapped out from the hole.

Obviously the smaller the hole the better but if you do end up needing it a bit bigger you should be fine once it smooths out.

My dad owns a sign shop where we live so Iโ€™ve been applying vinyl for as long as I can remember, so I promise promise promise this trick will work and will save you a ton of heart ache and frustration!!

I love love the way you did the bathroom you are extremely talented however I have to be honest and say I like the black cabinet the way it was I understand you were trying to do earth tones but the black just was really nice especially with the white paper that you did over the bathroom sink I just would have left the bathroom cabinet exactly the way it was it looks modern up to date The wooden contact paper is kind of old-fashioned for me and I’m older than you I like everything to be modern and more new school

  23. Madeline Jackson on May 8, 2021 at 3:30 am

    You did an incredible job!

  24. Robert Griffin on May 8, 2021 at 3:30 am

How you managed to work with long finger nails at the start of the video is quite remarkable ๐Ÿ˜. The end result of your work is just awesome.

  25. Corinne Segura on May 8, 2021 at 3:30 am

You have really nice taste and to do that on that budget is impressive.

  26. Dione Rhodes on May 8, 2021 at 3:33 am

I never knew thought 2 use contact paper 4 the sink.. ๐Ÿ‘ Great job on ur makeover!๐Ÿ˜

  27. Max P on May 8, 2021 at 3:33 am

    Love it do more please!!!

  28. Kristin J on May 8, 2021 at 3:34 am

The first contact paper you tried, I used on my kitchen laminate countertop. It was a pain but way cheaper and completely looks like marble. I’m sorry it was frustrating but you picked a great second choice. Bathroom looks STUNNING!

These makeovers look so good, I always wonder if the landlord really makes the tenants undo these improvements when they leave?

I loved your video and what you did for you . Its was an excellent make over . ( color’s were not my taste )
    But I loved your ideas !!! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

  37. Stephanie Moody on May 8, 2021 at 3:49 am

I just donโ€™t see how this is โ€œrenterโ€ friendly? My apartment complex wouldnโ€™t let me paint and put new fixers. Definitely not shelves. How are you going to make the bathroom back to before? I feel like โ€œrental friendlyโ€ is a misleading title for those of us who want help with out rentals. Although what you did was beautiful.

Just wanted to share a few thoughts… decorating really doesn’t come naturally to me but I tried my best with this one! I get lots of you saying that you wish you could be as good as me at decorating and the truth is that you DEFINITELY can be. I have so many fails and spend hours trying to figure out what doesn’t feel right! For some people it comes easily but for others (like me) it definitely doesn’t. But we can try hard, learn and get better over time! My hope for this video is that you feel inspired to tackle something new โค๏ธ luv u
