A small suggestion. If you keep that white rainbow arc planter if you nail in that grey wall. It will pop. Now it’s rarely noticing against that white mesh metal wall.

I love the macrame idea for the railings. I usually see ppl put up those fake hedge like plastic things that look kind of bad and bulky.
This might sound like a weird request, but I’m wondering if you could come up with some flame resistant ways to get more privacy on a balcony/patio. Mine is about the same size as yours, but my upstairs neighbors are smokers and drop their cigarettes and ashes. I don’t feel comfortable putting flammable stuff outside because of that. When we moved in I had so many ideas, but now I feel like I can’t do much because of the neighbors. Help! Lol Thank you!
Lovely balcony. My plan is to cover my balcony with one of those fake grass mats then put a buri mat or any mat made of native material on the middle part. I have no idea where I can get those buri mats. They have a lot of those in Asia.

I have what I think is the same plant outdoors (in Australia) so I don’t think the problem is that you have it outside. Maybe the soil is not good quality, maybe it didn’t get sufficient or got too much water. I would also put it in a bigger pot as it will eventually get quite a good stem on it. Mine is now about 45cm tall but it is 3-4 years old. Did you fertilize it? Maybe you used too much? Does it get enough light? Just Google the plant and maybe that will give you some hints. ps Balcony looks great!

Just love the macrame banner ❤️. I been doing a makeover to my balcony for several month. Been thrift shopping and creating a lot of things on a tight budget. I definitely gonna make the macrame banner but in a different color. Don’t need it for shade or privacy. It gonna be more a decor piece and something to spice up the space. You have great design sensibility and the balcony came out very nice. When you repot your plants, make sure all your new pots have drainage holes or your plants will eventually die of root rot. It is not an issue if you keep the plants in the nursery plastic pots and use the new pots as cachepots for aesthetic purposes.
