First week of Van Life in Canada: Muskoka & Algonquin Provincial Park
First week of Van Life in Canada: Muskoka & Algonquin Provincial Park
We are Max & Oksana, an ordinary Canadian couple, living an extraordinary lifestyle!
Over the last 5 years, we’ve travelled full time, exploring more than 80 countries all around the world!
But when COVID hit and our international adventures came to a halt, we returned back to Canada. We spent 3 months building a home….in a van. The build is almost done and we are now ready to explore Canada in our new tiny home on wheels.
But first, a test run to make sure that our new home can handle all the adventures we are about to throw at him! Watch the trials, tribulations, and don’t miss the official reveal of our van’s NAME at the end!

Great video! I was in all the same places about two weeks ahead of you. What a treat to see it again! I found a couple of really good spots to overnight and some that could accommodate a few rigs for longer stays even. Home is Western Canada is home for me, but this year I will spend the winter in Ontario. Might regret this choice in a month or so but hey……the van has wheels right! Hope you are having a fantastic adventure! Drink tea, have fun and enjoy your travels.
Great name…Benjamin Green. New follower and fan here 👍
Happy to hear what you’ve shared. We are also anticipating but also a little worry about for the coming van living.
Your audio is very low when you’re talking and loud when music is playing. It would be nice to have the same volume throughout the video:) love your channel though!!
Love your channel name! Looking forward to following you! New friend here! Such wonderful filming, editing…
Thank you for sharing! ~Tracey~ 👍🤗
I don’t know if you solved the electrical problem yet. I imagine it could be an over draw of current (amps) over lines that are too small. It could be that the parallel series of batteries can’t output fast enough (discharge rate) for the inverter; causing the AC sine wave collapse that triggers a breaker.
Thanks for sharing, you two are great!
Are you guys staying in Ontario for the winter??? Or heading west?
Thanks!!
Hi there! I live in Ontario and am planning to buy a small van (ProMaster City) next month and do my own little homemade camping setup. I’m wondering if you have CAA? It seens on their website to say all vans are excluded from their membership, but I’m sure I’ve heard other vanlife people using them. Do you? And if not, do you have some other kind of roadside assistance? Thanks for your help!
Congrats to the both of you. Well Done !!! My Wife and I spent 2 weeks in a Motorhome travelling around Tasmania. Bloody Fantastic. This year was supposed to be New Zealand in a Motorhome, but along came Covid, ruining our plans for this year. So envious of you. Take Care and ENJOY.
Can I ask you a question? If you don’t have a stable / permanent address, and your only address is a PO BOX, how can you renew your driver’s license or health card? Because the federal and provincial government doesn’t, send important papers i think to a PO Box. Please tell me your story. I wish to also do Van life but Canada Post said that if I use a PO Box as main address, for a couple of important papers, it will not work
Very nice to see, I like the name of the van, I’m happy for you guys
That aeriel shot of the autumn trees! Stunning

The "Shakedown cruise" begins!
I watch many van life channels, because I am planning a build this summer. I REALLY like yours and giving a person a true day to day experience, with all of the problems also… makes me realize things I should expect! Thank you 😊
