Today’s video is my Pinterest living room makeover / my fixer upper before and after complete transformation. We transformed the living room of this older home into a much more modern open concept living area! I’m so excited with how this fixer upper home remodel / home renovation turned out!

It is gorgeous, I love it. We just flipped an abandoned house for ourselves and when I told the painters I want white walls all around the house, they were like "White? All of it? You don’t want an accent wall? All white? Are you sure?" 😆 My husband was a little bit unsure too, but he loves it now and admits that it was a great choice. I feel like a lot of people add too many "accents" to the house and wonder why it looks cluttered all the time. I’m with you 100%, white all the way, light wood, minimal decor and plants. To me that looks clean, modern, cozy and inviting.
Unfortunately, we too had a LOT of issues with contractors. Very messy job that we could’ve done just as good or better, even after "fixing it", and we are actually now trying to get our money back for the materials that weren’t delivered and work that wasn’t done at all. How I wish I could just do all of this myself. 😆

Most contractors are a total nightmare. Fix one thing, create five new problems. If you can, it’s better to do things yourself (though I totally get somethings are just too technical for an amateur to DIY and you have no choice)
They should’ve protected everything even if they weren’t painting

We just got our basement renovated and it was great until they did “touch ups.” This painter got the gray wall paint ALL OVER the brand new bright white baseboards and trims. It was so expensive too! I was so mad 😅

Oh those stairs would have had me fuming! That’s what our trim looked like when we moved in with the former homeowners painting themselves (with really questionable color choices on top of it), its been a pain fixing it but its getting there, I’ve been too stubborn and thrifty to hire a pro though.
