Nice! Great idea for damaged walls.

I’ve seen this done in many ways… some add additional framing/studs to preexisting wall, some add plywood over entire wall and some are gluing without nailing… Is there a general best practice tip? ie 3/4" thickness or less glue only acceptable etc???

I actually have Anderson walnut flooring left over I was going to use but they are only 5 inches high and will take a lot of boards. I am thinking of buying some wider Boards to knock it out quicker, especially with 3 young sons going ape shit ehile trying to do this !!

Could this be done with Trafficmaster vinyl flooring, and if so, would you have to remove the backing and use an adhesive like liquid nails?

What about the normal expansion and contraction of this type of "Floating Floor"? How will it affect the flooring that is now Glued and nailed in place?

Why brads PLUS gluing?….a bit of belt-and-suspenders, if you ask me…….
