Foyer Lighting – Don't Make This Mistake!
Foyer Lighting – Don't Make This Mistake!
A well-placed chandelier in a two-story foyer doesn’t just light up the entryway, but also adds character and ambiance.
One of the biggest mistakes that I see in client homes is that they have not thought about how the chandelier is going to look from the second story.
Let me give you an example. From below this chandelier looks fine. However when you head up the stairs and are on the second story looking down – now what do you see… raw bulbs and harsh lighting. It’s not a good look.
Here’s the tip: When selecting a chandelier for a two story foyer think about how it is going to look from below and from above when you are on the second story.
Take a look at this new foyer light. From below it looks good and now when I head up the stairs to the second floor it looks just as good. I am not looking into a bunch of bulbs and harsh lighting.
Keep this in mind if you have a two story dining room or family room that you can look down into.
These little details can make a big difference. Follow these tips and you’ll be on your way to a Smart Interior.
Don’t get me started on the ones that basically light the ceiling 🙂 Great video. Thank you.
Great tip!
How do you get up there to clean the bulbs and fixture .
What is the standard height on a 2nd floor chandelier?

Hi Kim, I love this video! Thanks for uploading these tips.
*The light fixture is very beautiful & well made ▪▪▪>**share4.photo/Chandeliers?У** It’s very time consuming to put together. It took about 2 hours to install*
you have discovered the hot water!
Anybody know how to change the lightbulbs? Really don’t want to scale 15 feet.
Where do I purchase that exact light?
Thank you , very smart.
And just how are you supposed to change the lightbulbs in that second fixture? Please do not say LEDs. I have had some burn out in a few hours, and MANY burn out, or worse, start flickering, in a few weeks!
Glad I found this video and your channel. I would have never thought of that and this is very relevant to me right now, thanks!
This is so simple, but genius! Thanks for looking at it in a different way – literally =)
This is SUCH great advice!!!
