  2. Uncle Dave on June 29, 2023 at 4:19 pm

As of 2020 the sites are now designated where you can park. I think DePuis has 28 sites and I think the maximum stay time here is 9 days. I have stayed here around five times and I love it. You will need to talk to the campground host too. Lots of hiking trails also. This site has a separate area for equestrian use too. Great horse trails. The website is tricky but well worth learning.

If you want to live in Florida this a good way to do it because when the weather becomes threatening, you can more easily get out.

You’re a very good commentator! Thanks for the info, I’ll look it up on line! By the way, I have an old 1974 VW Riviera Camper which is just like a van.

Hahahaha, it’s 2020 July, Covid19 is been global story of this year and I’m sure it will be of this millennium, watching videos like this it makes me only smile due to not knowing if I ever be able to walk on streets again (in mask) not to mention going to Florida to camp for free or even if I pay 1000 per night it’s not possible.

  11. Lars Turner on June 29, 2023 at 4:24 pm

Thanks for the video. So, the usual 14 day stay limit does not apply?

  12. Snap Mentos on June 29, 2023 at 4:25 pm

Great presentation. But could you answer a question? Can you run an AC generator at all or any of these parks?

  13. valiant thor on June 29, 2023 at 4:25 pm

Awesome! 6 months free camping! Great info, thank you!

  14. Adventure Life With Bob on June 29, 2023 at 4:26 pm

  15. Jozsef James on June 29, 2023 at 4:26 pm

Went to DuPuis two weeks ago and the grass was sooooooo tall. I was the only person camping there. So many bugs, turkey vultures, coyotes and hogs. Ahhh……..the great outdoors!

  16. Driftin’ on June 29, 2023 at 4:27 pm

Lots of Water Management in Florida. Y’all get some bug spray now.

Nice job. some great info. I looked in comments for possible list of campgrounds, but didn’t find it. I did find the blog referencing campgrounds and how to find them. Also, I don’t recall you mentioning a link to the blog. Again, this as enjoyable to watch and well done.

  21. Workout and Meditation Channel for Health on June 29, 2023 at 4:38 pm

Serious question. I’m a black male. Mind my business, love the outdoors and just want to venture solo and get a piece of mind. I’m stressed out as a network engineer and want to reconnect with the wild. Tell the truth, if I’m seen in the wild camping 🏕 and enjoying the peaceful surroundings, will I be harassed?

  22. SOUL on June 29, 2023 at 4:38 pm

    He stay with me

  23. Gee DoubleU on June 29, 2023 at 4:44 pm

You’re wasting time preaching about good behavior while camping. The offenders don’t care what you think, obviously.

  24. Joe on June 29, 2023 at 4:45 pm

Is it just me or does the government website make it super confusing and convoluted so you can’t make head or tails of where to go to make a reservation and or get a permit to stay at one of the free sites?

  25. Barry Paul on June 29, 2023 at 4:45 pm

Thanks for this presentation. I’ve RVed for 17 years now, but have never dry-camped on public lands. You have inspired me to give it a try!
Suggestion: How about pinning links to the 5 districts you mentioned down below. T/Y!

  26. Steve S on June 29, 2023 at 4:45 pm

    Generators suck.

  27. The Solitary Gypsy on June 29, 2023 at 4:46 pm

I’ve been to both sites. Very nice and clean.

  28. Tom C. on June 29, 2023 at 4:47 pm

I wish there was more info on How to find campsites or maybe where a couple of campsites are actually located.

  29. David Hall on June 29, 2023 at 4:49 pm

    Great info

  30. Daniel Sicilia on June 29, 2023 at 4:53 pm

You can always cheat and buy a generator and at least you’ll have electricity and your tanks are full, even running water

  31. Grounding to Live 111 on June 29, 2023 at 4:54 pm

    Pretty awesome!!

  32. Browns Flea Market on June 29, 2023 at 4:57 pm

  33. Moss on June 29, 2023 at 4:59 pm

Just go to California, you can camp anywhere ;). Just kidding Florida, stay the heck away from there. Lots of love.

  40. Fatih Ahmet on June 29, 2023 at 5:05 pm

can you tell what is the name and where is the address please ?.

  41. Ned Sled on June 29, 2023 at 5:07 pm

Great info, But disclaimer, as far as not needing to plan ahead. Went to the websites, to get a permit, most are booked for 3 weeks ahead of time. So you still have to get a permit ahead of time, well weeks ahead vs 11mounths at the state campground, but you can’t just randomly drive to FL and get a site.

  42. sherri weber on June 29, 2023 at 5:09 pm

Thank you Liz the campground does look beautiful. I just found this video. I didn’t know you had a fifth wheel. Hope you have a great 4th of July. 🇺🇸😊

  47. Clint East on June 29, 2023 at 5:12 pm

    Can you use a generator?

  48. Han Winogrond on June 29, 2023 at 5:13 pm

Has anyone actually tried to follow the links and find free camping? If it exists it is well hidden. Really wondering how they are finding these sites?

  49. Ang3lBass on June 29, 2023 at 5:15 pm

This location was my first solo car camping site two weeks ago-it’s still a GREAT site!
