Cobb not free $10 charge
Hi thx for this video good to know about free camping, it’s going to come in handy since thx to the pandemic I’ve been out of work since March 5, 2020 with no signs of my restuarant reopening. My roommate’s lease was up and they decided to move back home with mom & dad, so with me still without a job I couldn’t even rent a room, I was looking at living in my car. I got the idea of buying a very old cheap, but running RV with the little bit of money I had saved up. What I didn’t do was research how much it would be to stay in campgrounds or that campgrounds would discrimminate against older RVs even if they look good. Anyway I am trying to get a Camp Host position to help me out, but money is very tight on unemployment and not having insurance and I have medications i’ve been taking since i was 11 years old that i have to take for the rest of my life, missing one day i can have a heart attack. Sorry I really went off track.
I really wanted to clear something up that might be confusing some people that may not be familiar with Florida. The DePuis Campground that’s just east of Lake Okeechobee is in Martin County which is in South Florida not Central Florida. Sorry I just didn’t want people thinking Oh Central Florida we’ll be close to Disney & Universal, when actually they’d be more at least 3 hours away.
Thank you for the video be safe
β No mention of π Snake’s & Gators. I see a mention of "no see Em’s" I would imagine βΊ tenting people might have a issue with Gators? Should people be Worried or just Alert?
Especially at the aforementioned camping locations.πππ¦π¦
The link to your list is useless when you click on "more free camping in Florida", it’s a hodgepodge of a mess, seriously.
You made a helpful video thanks
Spanish Moss won’t grow on Pine trees…
Thank you so much for sharing this YouTube Video. It was very inspirational and God just spoke through you and gave some answers to my prayers that I’ve been praying about for over a year. Thank you so much I appreciate this educational YouTube Video you shared.β€β€β€πΊπΈ
Nice, but a small map with the location of each site pinpointed would be invaluable.
Pine trees does not have moss it in Oak trees
Unfortunately, it appears that as of October 1st of this year they rules are changing for the WMA and only tent camping will be allowed in most of these campsites. π
Can you camp at these places if you have a mini van ?
"O-c-o-la"? Pronounced oss-c-o-la. Lived in Florida for over 30 years. Definitely not o-c-o-la lol. Close but no cigar!
You saved my life. !!! Subscribing
0:53 I think you meant to say pine trees dripping with sap
Thanks for the info!
How long can you stay at these sites?
We just got to Florida a couple days before the new year and have found it quite difficult to find places to boondock in our self-converted Sprinter van. This video is super helpful and we can’t wait to check out these places over the next month, thank you!!!
How is it free?
Well done sir, thank you.
Thanks! Well done video. Great suggestions.
I went to Hickory Hammock on your recommendation and it is extremely nice!
Checking out DuPuis next!
i tryed to find ur app the other day and cant find it and just now fount ur YouTube
having been a resident of Florida for many years please keep pets and children away from palmetto bushes as there are Pygmy rattlers that love to nest in them and they are more deadly that a southwestern diamond back equal to the Mojave green rattler. you cant get to a hospital fast enough to save a toddler!
also, in Florida, another "rule of thumb" is: always assume that if there’s water.. there’s gators! They are just as fast on land as they are in water! never go near the water at sunrise or at dusk (in the cool of the day) that’s feeding time and they will take small children (toddlers up to 7 yrs old) and animals. Cats taste like chicken! please remember if your not savey to the environment take precautions.
I miss florida!
It shows a $10 fee for Cobb Hunt Campground!
Great info. Well presented!
Great video and information! Subbed!
I live in Florida. Love to go out in the RV in Florida. But , as always, you get what you pay for. I would rather pay a nominal fee and have water, electric and sewage hook ups. Save the boondocking for when Iβm traveling cross country.
Can anybody tell me how to get the campendium app on my android phone?!
Love it! We are headed to Indiantown right now! π
DuPuis campground was a blast! I was the only person there and the camp host was a cool dude. He said I could run my penny all night since I was the only person there….give it was August and 95 deg day/80 deg at night……thankfully I could run my air con all night lol
Are these specifically for rv’s?
Or can went tent camp?
What about gators?
Great advice, and very helpful. We have found Florida to be expensive and hard to get into, so this helps a lot. Thank you for taking time to share this type of information.
Very good video!
Hey guys. For anyone who can answer this, please send some info my way. I’m interested in going to Miami to essentially live in a tent at first, and work my way up from there. I’m living in Maryland right now and facing possible homelessness soon, and I just figured I’d take the money I have and get to warm weather. I’m concerned though about alligators. And I guess any dangerous creature anyone can think. If I live in a tent outside, what is the likelihood of me getting attacked and or killed by an alligator or other dangerous creatures?
Wilderness landing.Oakloosa countyThe best place too camp in florida.. period… hot showers….14 day stay on the Blackwater River…
Please say Osceola the right way π we take that to the heart
Many more places that campendium don’t seem to know about.
Cool shirt. I love your shirt.
please android
A huge park in the middle of the state is Ocala National Park and has many different camp areas from total primitive miles down sand roads to more modern, some with camp hosts and mostly free. Some may not accommodate large RV’s. I used to motorcycle camp there in the winter as I live only hours away, but as in many free camp spots you must be careful of desperate people on the run or hiding out, I always carried a firearm even though I do not like them. Although not necessarily bad people, desperate people may do bad things to survive. I always tried to be around a group or near a host when I was solo, most places had no cell service as of 5 years ago, that may have changed by now.
Any Safe Affordable places with full hookups for long term RVβing.
How long are you allowed to stay?
From NW Florida between Tallahassee and Panama city, A word of advice.. Do not come here during Feb, Dec, Jan in the northern part of Florida if you want to get away from the winter cold, we get cold weather here, wet cold sometimes down in the 20’s even snow about 5 years ago,, but if you are coming down to get away from the cold go somewhere South of interstate 4,, I live in Tampa now and we do have cold snaps down here about to start another 1 we will have 3 or 4 days of cold then it will warm up for 3 or 4 days..
Nice!
Where do I find the app to file for a permit ?
Any info on free/legal tent camping areas
any comments about the heat which months ect thank you
Florida is nice but the low pay sucks makes it hard to servive
