Lucy picture should be the big frame 🖤

  4. Louise Evans on November 2, 2021 at 9:44 am

Think you would probably struggle to get furniture up and down if you had a bannister maybe that’s why there is not one there from before, probably need to leave it til last to put one in

  5. 35dotty on November 2, 2021 at 9:44 am

What about a long full length mirror for one side of the wall going up the stair.. hence give the impression of space and also you can check yourself as leaving the house
    lol xx

  6. Clarke Family Adventures on November 2, 2021 at 9:45 am

Love all the bathroom bits we have a gallery wall as well and they really make the hall pop xx

  7. Deborah Harrison on November 2, 2021 at 9:46 am

    You need banisters

  8. Claire Woerner on November 2, 2021 at 9:46 am

It’s always wild to me that you have to apply to schools in the UK. In the US, you live in a school zone and you go to that school. The only exception are private schools and certain charter or magnet school problems (charters are public schools that basically run like private schools and magnet schools are schools that specialize in something like the arts or STEM). I did go to a private high school and my parents made me do all the applying myself including scheduling entrance exams.

Frames on the bigger wall. With your poorly leg I would have a railing . Lovely homeware haul. Sending hugs to you and enjoy your week off.. Hope your dad is doing better. xx

  10. Jennifer Archer on November 2, 2021 at 9:49 am

Hand rail on the right ( would be for safety too) and gallery wall on the left.

  11. Charis Bailes on November 2, 2021 at 9:52 am

H&M sell the rug underlay hun 🙂

  14. teresa sibley on November 2, 2021 at 9:56 am

Left side as stair treads are wider there

  15. Eleanor Whitaker on November 2, 2021 at 9:56 am

The anti-slip under-rug stuff at Dunelm is really good. It’s like a crazy felt material that feels sticky but isn’t.

  16. Su Numan on November 2, 2021 at 9:58 am

My house is completely white too. On my wall by my stairs I have a gigantic photo in a black frame of Gary Numan; looks immense. I have some cool white bulbs and some normal as I think it can look too sterile. Xxxxx.

  17. Dawn Yarrow on November 2, 2021 at 9:59 am

We have the large H&M bath mat/rug in our bathroom. It is big so we use it as a rug but we love it. Have a lovely week off with your beautiful family. Sending you so much love and all the positive vibes for your lovely Dad. Take care xxx

  18. Ariannauk1 on November 2, 2021 at 9:59 am

You can buy double sided carpet tape for your hall rug if it slides

  19. jayne cheesman on November 2, 2021 at 10:01 am

Love your fresh looking hallway. We have similar stairs to you and we have a bannister rail on the outside curved wall, couldn’t do without it. Xx

  20. Naz on November 2, 2021 at 10:04 am

  21. Louise Adams on November 2, 2021 at 10:06 am

During the entire Dunelm haul I couldn’t stop smiling at how unintentionally funny you are, thinking of whoever gets married into your lovely family is gonna be the luckiest person in the world! Your the kind of mother in law id love to have my boy to have. Sweet, chatty and thoughtful. So pure. Hope your week off is filled with lots of chill and getting settled! Lots of love ‘Aunty Em!’ X

Where did you get the boob cushion from? I have the boob bedding from Urban Outfitters and that would look awesome with it

  23. Karen Taylor on November 2, 2021 at 10:06 am

Lay the pictures out on the floor before hanging them to get the lock you like

  24. Lisa Robinson on November 2, 2021 at 10:07 am

  25. Sarah Ransom on November 2, 2021 at 10:09 am

You like even numbers but bought 5 amd go up to 7? You know they are odd numbers right?

  26. Abby Rozee on November 2, 2021 at 10:10 am

Sensing you and your family love Emma, enjoy half term, you deserve the week off YouTube! ☺️❤️

  27. Claire Woerner on November 2, 2021 at 10:10 am

Bannisters typically go on the right side (because 90% of the world is right handed) and gallery walls on the left. And since your staircase curves clockwise I would say that’s appropriate.

  28. Jackie Brown on November 2, 2021 at 10:11 am

    Xx💕💕

  29. Donna Price on November 2, 2021 at 10:12 am

Have a great week off xx

  30. hannahxx17 on November 2, 2021 at 10:14 am

We had a U shaped stair case, the top half had a banister, the second half didn’t. I fell down those stairs so many times its not even funny. I ended up with a huge gash on one arm (still a visible scar 15 years later) from my arm sliding down the edge of the stairs as I fell. 2 railings might be a bit tight in a small stairway but one would be perfect and make using the stairs more comfortable and safer.

  31. Laura Reilly on November 2, 2021 at 10:15 am

Me and my daughter paint our pumpkins! I have the same issue with carving them 🤢 but we’ve painted them the last few years and she loves it! Plus they last so much longer too 😉

  32. Lucy Murray on November 2, 2021 at 10:15 am

    Gallery left & banister right!

  33. Nicola Graham on November 2, 2021 at 10:16 am

We have photos all up one side and then art stuff on the other like wooden hearts and stars and signs.

  37. Moira Barrass on November 2, 2021 at 10:22 am

Emma you should get daylight bulbs instead of warm ones , warm ones make things look yellow .

  38. Tina Rigby on November 2, 2021 at 10:23 am

Hi Emma, house is looking great….bannister would be a good idea and would break up the large space. By the way I also still say Dunhelm Millls 😂😂xx

  39. C Love on November 2, 2021 at 10:24 am

The “I’m going to clean your faces…..(squeak)…. (Squeak)….. (squeak)”made me laugh so much. Thanks, I needed that!

  41. brummymummyof2 on November 2, 2021 at 10:27 am

Hey guys! A lovely homey chatty vlog today. Would love to know which side of the wall you think we should decorate. I am thinking the right side? I’ll be taking a week off but then I will be coming back with ALL OF THE CHRISTMAS STUFF! Coz as soon as November comes you KNOW it’s Christmas. Love you lots. See you in the comments xxx

  42. Karen Sanders on November 2, 2021 at 10:27 am

Hi Emma my fellow Brummie, regarding the handrails, I would put some up, your gonna get a lot of grubby hand marks plus I have the same back condition as you and I couldnt get up my stairs without them, I actually had bannisters put up on both sides. xxxxx

  43. Irene S on November 2, 2021 at 10:30 am

I love your taste in house bits. Just my cup of tea. Enjoy your little break, you will feel so much better for it. Take care xxx

  44. Lisa Lee on November 2, 2021 at 10:30 am

Hello, just wanted to pop a message to say I’m sending positive ‘vibes’ to your dad. Enjoy half term, you deserve a break and spending time with your kiddos. Also an early happy 40th to Steven.
I’ve had to fill middle school / secondary school place for my middle one too we only put up to 3 schools here, only 2 in our catchment area. I’ve only put 1 down as my eldest will still be there so 🤞🏻.
    Big hugs to you x

  45. Nikki Johnston on November 2, 2021 at 10:31 am

  49. Group 25 Squared online on November 2, 2021 at 10:37 am

You could do a left hand banister in thick rope that will link in to the "vibe" of the bathroom and the jute rug xx

  50. Alison on November 2, 2021 at 10:38 am

Left side Pic wall right side banister xxx
