What excellent timing! I was SO looking for guidance on decorating in a farm house style. I’ve also been watching Bargain Bethany on youtube. I don’t know if you have Dollar Tree in Canada but she’s doing a lot of farmhouse Christmas decor and diys…. Anyway! A couple of these are available used in good condition on thriftbooks. I have pets and kids in a tiny house in the country so those books appeal to me. My daughter is girly so would probably benefit from the Cupcakes and Cashmere book. I think I’m gonna find as many as I can used and wrap them up for myself and put under the Christmas tree!!! I usually buy myself a bunch of books and when they come in the mail, I don’t open them or flip through. I throw them in a big box and then wrap the box then I forget what I bought for myself! Then when the holiday rush is over I can relax and cover myself in great books! Love you April! Keep making videos! Are you going to do a holiday season book recommendations video? Either novels, decor, etc?? Also do you have a Hygge like music playlist you like to listen to when hygging?

Loved this! I don’t have books to recommend but rather YouTubers/bloggers; "KateLaVie" has gorgeous home decor style as well as "Gemary". ☺️

I love home decor! Victoria, Southern Lady, and Romantic Homes magazines are a few of my favs and also have some really gorgeous decor books. I especially love the Victoria Christmas decor books, even the ones from 20 years ago because they’re just so beautiful and timeless! Omgosh I LOVE Cupcakes and Cashmere, and that was one of the books that came to mind when I first clicked on your video lol ❤

These look like really helpful books. I am planning on buying a home within the next couple years so I’ll keep these in mind!
I would love to know what you think of the new release "Homebody: A Guide to Creating Spaces You Never Want To Leave" by Joanna Gaines if you ever end up reading that one.

Thriller books have "Girl" in their titles a lot, looks like home decor books have the word "home" a lot 😛

Thank you so much for this video! It’s so timely for me right now. I’ve put in an order for the books that you mentioned that you liked. I inherited my Mom’s home when she passed away just recently. I had lived with her for the past 5 years, taking care of her. I plan to stay in the house but I need to make it my own now. I think these books will help! I love your channel, btw, and your style!

Edith Wharton who is famous for her novels "The Age of Innocence", "The House of Mirth", "The Custom of the Country" and many others also wrote a book, co-authored with architect Ogden Codman", called "The Decoration of Houses". It might not be of much practical use in the 21st century but still interesting from an historic viewpoint.—I’m something of a residential multiple personality: leaning toward minimalism with solid colors, mainly blue and earth tones along with unpainted wood. I also like English country interiors if uncluttered but also some of the interiors of English country mansions. I live in an efficiency apartment and so far the "decor" could be called 21st Century Hodge-Podge!

I really enjoyed this! And thanks for showing us so much of each book. I’ve recently been putting some decor books on my TBR and want to make a trip to the library so this was great timing. Some titles I’ve found online that I’m curious about are – The Nesting Place, Cozy Minimalist Home, and the Kinfolk Home.
