You’re lucky. My Value Village has pure junk.
You have good thrift stores with amazing prices on furniture but I don’t understand this need to paint everything, especially oak dining sets. If you don’t like the look consider sanding and staining in a darker or lighter color. Small pieces such as side table or coffee tables could be painted to add interest but coming from someone who knows, all painted furniture gets boring. It’s much more interesting to have a mix.

Wow! Those are great prices at that thrift store!! We dont have anything like that in my town. We have a few stores, very small, and what they do get in looks junky and priced way too high. I can only dream…

Paint the plastic but NOT SOLID WOOD!! That’s what usually turns furniture into junk that nobody else wants when you’re finished or tired of it! Refinish furniture if scratches or stains or you don’t like the color/shade, but don’t paint REAL WOOD! Paint the fake wood all you want!
When reselling furniture you will get your money back plus some when you refinish!♥️
