Yesss totally my vibe! Honestly, i kind of love the no door on the closet. If you took out the wire shelves and put in wood floating shelves or wallpaper on the inside walls it would look beautiful!

My suggestions:
1) Put your laptop on a stand, so you can make use of it’s monitor – you will be far more productive with 2 monitors.
2) Move the large mirror to the right, to hide the air vent
3) Cable management
4) Have some motion sensor activated LED lights in your cupboard
5) As you do podcasts, to reduce echo, put a rug below the microphone area. Maybe some canvas art might help. Sound deadening on the ceiling, etc.
You should think about hiring an interior designer to help you bring this room to life
