I feel ya on the not getting winter in your area bcuz in Fort Worth we don’t get it either. It’s hot here 7-8 months most of the year and yes our winters can get chilly "sometimes", but no snow as well. I wish the winters would last longer to kill all the bugs to be honest. You probably called the reindeer a he because most deer species only the male grows antlers. But with reindeer both male and female reindeer grow them.

Gnomes are a Scandinavian tradition. They’re called Tomte in Norway. And you’re meant to name them when you bring them home. The considered good luck to have. Predating Santa, they believe that a Gnome will go door to door with his Yule Goat and deliver gifts to children. It is tradition to leave porridge out for them. And if you forget the porridge or it’s not a good porridge, you don’t get a gift… or you get a bad gift. It’s important to please the gnome.
