What a lovely house, what a nice owner. In that house you could lock me in for days and days and I would just sit somewhere with a coffee or a cocktail and a book , look around and never get bored. Beautiful!!
Love the images of the previous slave holders throughout this white man’s palace all dressed up. How come all of you rich, unconscious, stuck in the racist past Southerners never show the slave quarters?

What are some of your favorite books?
Fantastic! We live in France and have an eighteenth century house but you have inspired me to do more decorating. Hope you will visit us in the countryside of the Mayenne, the northern part of the Loire region. We have several antique shops nearby and many places one can find old french treasures. I really enjoyed your home. Magnifique!
These are the type of homes that make my mouth water, my eye candy. Enough of the quintessential maximalist English and traditional American, a bit of modern, classy but cozy, and everything encompassing the heart of the owner. This guy is my hero. I love this home.

Wow. I’d like to write something profound and memorable, but I’ll simply say I have met my double. The man, the career, the house, the collections, and even the fact he lives alone amongst his things. I have rarely met with such a close representation of all that I am. I have a large apartment and every room has a bookcase or three, and I keep importing lots of antiques and such. The only difference is I do love to cook, and oddly enough, for that reason I prefer a small, intimate space in which to do so. I have never been a fan of grand kitchens…and most grand houses leave me with a strange desire to seek comfort by standing in a corner of the room. This house looks just perfect.
I so enjoyed your home. You have a wonderful eye for detail.I also have an English 1784 grandfather clock. Yes, the back of my clock has nail holes. You are the first person who admitted nailing his clock to the wall.
