Hi Everyone!

Today I am in my kitchen and will be sharing with you how I’ve decorated above my kitchen cabinets. I like to use items sparingly to still have enough to create some interest in the kitchen space. I hope you enjoy!

Just beautiful. Simple, but put together perfectly. You cracked me up when you were placing items above sink. Put something on right, look left, for distancing, height, etc. Move it, look left, look right. Really eyeballin’ it. LOL!!!πŸ˜… That was my favorite area too.

Hi Robin. I used to have spaces above my cupboards. Use to decorate for every holiday. I miss them. Yours look so pretty. Love your breadbox. Thank you so much for sharing all your decor. Take care. Stay safe

I have wanted to display stuff above my kitchen cabinets since we moved in over three years ago but I have yet to do it. It will be hard to reach as we have the taller size cabinets and they are staggered. I’ll have to start collecting some stuff to put up there.

I love the way you decorated above your kitchen cabinets. I have always loved enamelware. I have a rectangular covered pan that I like to keep candy in that was my Grandmother’s. Then I have coffee pots and pitchers, etc above my cabinets. I really love your idea with the shelf holding your pyrex. I could really use a shelf like that. Thanks for sharing.

  7. Annette Biering on October 29, 2021 at 9:32 am

I enjoy watching you do this because I struggle with placing accessories so I tend to not switch up although I love to move furniture around. This looks great.

  8. fancypanda on October 29, 2021 at 9:34 am

Very cool. Thanks for being so specific. I didn’t think about above the cabinets. Mine just look like dishes on top. Will try to make it more appealing now.

  9. Carol Harner on October 29, 2021 at 9:35 am

Those coffee pots! Love how it turned out. The shepherds pie dish makes me nostalgic for some comfort foods! Ah, maybe another video topic?

I have a large collection of novelty cruet sets that my late Daughter collected so i have those placed around the top of my cupbourds but you have given me a idea to raise them up then i can put a few more things up there that are taking up room in my cupbourds.thank you .

  16. Sandy Taylor on October 29, 2021 at 9:49 am

Yay! I love the new look! You have room to add larger pieces or hang stuff in the taller areas to fill in more area. Great idea to put your collections up there to be able to enjoy them daily.

OMG! You’ve outdone yourself again. I do have space above my cabinets, but lack the tall ceilings like your home. I do have a few items above the cabinets next to the fridge, which I will definitely be redoing tomorrow. My only problem is that the cabinet tops sink in about two inches, so I have to use things to give the items height and not lose

  21. Mehri T on October 29, 2021 at 9:52 am

Love it all. Those cake stands with domes and the white ones too are so nice to have. The center above your sink turned out great. I also love the shelf you made. The tablecloth is so cute. Thanks for all the inspiration.

  27. JunkerNecker DIY on October 29, 2021 at 10:01 am

Great ideas!!! The tablecloth would be fantastic for a Cinco de Mayo tablescape!

When I had open soffits in my first house, I displayed my collection of new and antique teapots, both stovetop and ceramic. I miss that. I’ve actually been giving a lot away. I sent a mint tea kettle to Nicole Northgarden and an apple tea kettle to Tammy Roberts. I just found another in my fruit room, but I’m keeping that. It’s in my favorite green and very old. Love your enamel coffee pots. Very nicely done and thank you for taking us along.

I love having space above my cabinets to decorate, and loved watching your decorating process because it reminded me so much of myself. *Swivel head to the left; swivel head to the right; scratch temple. Place glass milk jug; take milk jug down; put different item up; take that item down; put milk jug back.* It always takes me hours to get things placed in a way that makes me happy. ☺

I loved it all! I have been decorating my space for the summer!

Very creative use of space, thank you for inspiring me.

  34. Julia Cockroft on October 29, 2021 at 10:09 am

And your awesome artistic eye comes through again! Having blank spaces between your vignettes β€˜frames’ them and gives the eye rest when viewing your wonderful collections. Using a shelf in that space, to display your Corning Ware & Pyrex, is absolutely ingenious. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» πŸ’–

  35. suzanne bartholomew on October 29, 2021 at 10:09 am

You did a fantastic job of decorating. Watching this video reminded me I could decorate the top of my refrigerator. The sphere with the arrow pointing towards the ceiling is really cool. Your vignettes look really balanced and that’s not always easy to do. Thanks for another teaching video. I always learn so much. Of course, I love all the touches of red.

  36. Cathy Biller on October 29, 2021 at 10:09 am
