Curious if you laid that over a tile floor, and why no underlayment was used?

  4. Clark Getz on January 10, 2021 at 3:28 am

Great compact video, no yawning moments like some where we wait for the presenter to go off and search where he left his pencil (LOL). Great point on ensuring no super thin lengths as the last course and your video showed us how to do the transition piece.

Can I do this over an old carpet? Why an old carpet? Because it’s an addition al layer and I want to add layers on my floor to block out my noisy rude neighbor downstairs. I have MLV in one are of the apt, and am looking to add another layer, but am undecided between a thicker carpet with acoustic underlayment plus one more layer of MLV; or MLV, Quietwalk acoustic underlayment and either a floating floor or vinyl (or hardwood) planking. Any suggestions, or links would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. And thank you for making this!! Stay safe!

I just had my house done with that exact same color
    Its a lot of work
I had a guy do it that knew how to install and it looks good

You did a great job but I’m still intimidated. I want to put this in all of my bathrooms. In fact I saw a marble top vanity today that will go great with it. However, I don’t feel confident about doing it by myself. I think I’ll just buy the flooring and have someone else install it.

  19. Carol Mackey on January 10, 2021 at 3:42 am

We are thinking of using vinyl plank flooring over our tile in the kitchen. Our concern is that the floor will be raised and we wont have a very good transition from kitchen to a wood floor family room. Can anyone tell me if this would be an issue and how to fix it so we don’t constantly trip where the transition is?

  20. brianmcg321 on January 10, 2021 at 3:43 am

    Super easy, barely and inconvenience.

  27. Denny Crane on January 10, 2021 at 3:52 am

Planning to do this in concrete, would you recommend gluing it down or it will hold just like that?

  28. Mr. Mark on January 10, 2021 at 3:52 am

Why would you cover that great looking ceramic tile up with that cheap looking crap vinyl? Do you have arthritis?

  29. Bazman on January 10, 2021 at 3:52 am

Key words & the most Important step:

START FROM THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROOM, or you will quickly have broken board edges 😄😄😄

  30. Crow Flight on January 10, 2021 at 3:52 am

The product looks nice and will be easy to repair and replace small sections, BUT, it is laid down in a ‘water-room’ … so what happens when the inevitable spill of a gallon or more happens? Worse yet suppose a ‘renter’ flooded the floor and just sopped up the excess surface moisture leaving the fluids under the vinyl boards to ‘fester’? Or years of mopping along the floor boards? Not finished till caulked like a bathroom …?

  31. SimplyDaniella on January 10, 2021 at 3:54 am

I want to say I can do this.. but im going to be realistic and pay some1

  34. Paul F on January 10, 2021 at 3:57 am

Did you use just normal saw blades, not laminate specific ones?

  35. javier j2A on January 10, 2021 at 3:57 am

I’m just asking nothing personal. But why do they always want us to subscribe why can we just watch the video just saying 🤣😆

  36. Eduardo Hernandez on January 10, 2021 at 4:01 am

    This is very clever

  37. Will Keyes on January 10, 2021 at 4:03 am

This is great, if you want to spend about a $1000 on additional supplies. I might as well pay a professional do it.

  38. Henry on January 10, 2021 at 4:03 am

We have a kitchen and living room out in a room, but how does it work with vinyl in the living room,
is there anyone who uses it in there ?
where there are some heavy furniture chairs and tables,
and will they make recessesor marks in the vinyl while moving around if there is Floor Furniture Protection Pads below.
