Learn how to install vinyl plank flooring in a bathroom that looks like ceramic large format tile. Vinyl plank flooring bathroom installation is an easy process you can do as a beginner installer and only needs a few tools. The flooring is waterproof and will not let any water pass through the seams. With some caulking around the tub this should help prevent any water seepage from normal bathroom usage. It is a floating floor though, so take that into consideration as if the room floods there is nothing to keep it from going over the edges of the flooring. It’s a great looking floor and nice and warm on the feet.

In my opinion never install your subfloor with nails, there’s a big chance they will come loose in a few months, alway use screws.
There was ceramic tiles for a reason and not vinyl

Putting non water proof underpayment plywood beneath waterproof floorboards is a bad bad idea. The joints are not 100% air tight, water can get in a damage plywood.

Great Vid. What a job this was. I have a bunch of corners in my bathroom, 10 sides total which makes me cringe at what is before me. it’s 49 sq. ft. so yea, it’s not huge or anything, just a lot of complexity… (Floor vent, 10 different sides, toilet, cold water supply, etc.) UGH !!!! *)(&*&##^@)*(&# What to do…. How much does Home Depot do this type of work for ? I’m in midwest. thanks for the video and I’m going to have to watch your video about 3 times more before I dare start ripping up the old linoleum flooring.

After paying a drywaller too much money to do a lousy job, I thought I’d lay the floor myself. At least that way I won’t waste thousands of dollars blaming someone else.

Why did you use a plywood underneath ? I thought u do it for tiles. Can’t you just use the vinyl on underlay on subfloor ?
Just put the vinyl over the old floor. Easy.
Why did you remove the tile in the bathroom and not in the laundry room? Anything to consider?
What about concrete just level and add a vapor barrier
i woulda slapped some redguard on that floor before laying down the vinyl as an extra insurance policy.

Why on earth would you replace tile with laminate floor? It’s not even close….
ok so no underlay required for anywhere in the house I guess? looking to install these in my living room..
Is it okay to put the vanity ontop of the floating floor? It seems the general answer is "no", but I dont see how this is any different than having couch or tv stand or any other semi-heavy object on top of it.

Need premixed grout very important
It the toilet or anything else in bathroom leaks it will go right through vinyl to sub floor and then into basement. You might as well just used carpet.
