Well done video! I did my previous house in 2009 but that was over cement so I was curious if it could be done over tile. I was blown away that you can cut it with a box cutter! That wasn’t around in 2009. My question is how did he do the long cuts? Did he use a box cutter for that? It seems like it would be very hard to keep the lines straight?
can this be put in a kitchen?? thank you in advance.
That’s not wood. It’s laminate flooring, which is a plastic composite
OMG!! It turned out so beautifully!!! My fiancé are about to start our floors tomorrow!! Thanks for sharing 😉
I can’t believe you didn’t put an underlayment between the tile and floating floor….makes for a much more luxurious feel and sounding floor. A must!:)
Girl you got your Boo working and making your home look amazing .
Hi! Was just wondering the range of how much this cost in total for your space? Just want to know how affordable it is. Thanks!
you have to be careful when laying vinyl planks over tile floor you have to make sure that your vinyl planks thick enough so that the grout lines don’t end up showing through your vinyl floor after Time passes
I’m a get
That looks amazing! What about if you spill something, will it seep thru?
Great job. I am actually working on a similar project and wanted to learn more. y’all are amazing. Wishing you all the best. p.s love the 3:16 verse
Did you remove the baseboards? Or add quarter round?
do you need a underlayment or moisture barrier when installing over tile?
It’s beautiful!
This is great for rentals too
Which color did you guys choose? It’s perfect
Nice work. Nice video. A couple questions. Most wood over tile is glued down. I see this didn’t require any glue. Did you have the option of glue? Why yes or no? I am worried about lifting, especially as the seasons and humidity changes. Thanks
Are there any flaws that are noticeable over the tile? Like where the grout lines are.
Was any of you tiled floor uneven?
What’s the update? Do you feel it floating is it holding up ok? Does it slide off?
This is what I have been looking for you Guys have given me the confidence in trying to do my kitchen floor many thanks 👍🇮🇪 from Ireland
Redoing my entire bath. All but a new class shower and granite countertop. I will be installing a new grey flooring over tile. One question I did not see covered was most trim isn’t straight. So on non wood trim what do you do to cover any gap between wall and new laminate. Quarter round doesn’t seem appropriate for non wood trim. This room also runs into a carpeted room with same trim? First time on your site. Thanks for the info.
Any issues with the separation in the grout and differences in levels between tiles? Can you feel it? Thinking about doing this.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏❤
My house is 1,500 sf of all tile. If I only wanted to do part of it-it wouldn’t work. I would have an uneven floor.
Hi! I was wondering did you guys leave a gap my the door? Also did you guys have any issues with opening the front door since the level of the flooring is higher? Thanks in advanced!
$$$$$?????
Approximately how much did it cost you ?
Very nice… You did not remove the baseboard while installing it?
Lol girl he ain’t playing he got the knee pads and everything! This is great! I can’t wait to get started. Thank you guys so much!!
I can’t wait to do mine! Looks so good!
Umm, where is the noise dampening underlay that should always be installed under the laminate? It helps insulate and mainly dampen any movement cause from inconsistent and uneven floors underneath. Good job, however, there is a fundamental error.
you don’t have to remove the baseboards? also what about a moisture barrier?
Great video. Just what I was looking for. Looks good. Your husband is handsome!
Question?????
He didn’t remove the baseboards. Why?
May I ask how you finished the edges against the wall? Also how does your entrance door do with the height difference?
Love the floor so much!!! I went for the economy (aka cheap) laminate for the upstairs floors. Floor n decor has lower prices as well but I got mine at Home Depot for so much less (and military discount ). I did buy good quality underlayment though. I can’t wait to see the end results. We are painting, removing carpets, and adding stain blocker to the subfloor (pet smells👎🏼).
there are so many things wrong with this instalation…the first and most important one…where is the underlay ?…you MUST place a thin moisture absorbing underlay first with all floating floors…this helps with dampness on the cork base of the boards…very important….the underlay also absorbs the noise of the board "slapping" the tile…secondly you MUST allow a 6mm expansion gap around the edges because if you dont as the boards tongue and groove expands the boards will rise in the middle of the rum causing a bowing effect…and because of no underlay the noise will become even worse…thirdly…with the cork base boards your furniture will leave indentations very quickly that wont ever come out…use a felt pad under all furniture…i give this floor 1 year max
Love the new floors!! Where did you get your couches??!
Hello. Any issues with the tiles so far? Did prep floor in any way b4 install?
Oh wow wasn’t expecting it to be so cheap. Do they ship to the UK? 😍
hey thanks this help me alot
What color did you use? Looks great.
You guys did a wonderful job!! My husband and I are on project to do our floor also. My question is "so when you apply panel floors to your tiles, you dont need tile glue or anything? " We never done this so you guys are eye opening! I think we will do "the scripture" also!!! thank you for your video!!!
One question – Is it really amaaaazing?
Great vid/floors!! Question: around the edges – there looks to be a gap but then the final product (end of vid) has no gap – how do you guys remove the gap and is the gap necessary to start? Pls help! thanks
This is not a laminate right?
wow, this 35k a year princess, had her man break his back like that, and no ice cold ice T or cold beer for this guy…….id b pimpin that , the minute i am finished to pay for that floorin…lmfao
Awwww he loves you
what the hell .. they did no underlay?!?!?!
