I love this it’s pretty, but my house shelves won’t look like this. It will filled with books because I am an avid reader and those pieces will end up collecting dust and more things to wipe. I wish you guys can design a house that look lived in instead because I would love to see how people like me can lives beautifully.

I have a collection of jadeite but want to make it look modern. How would I go about that? How do you style a dish collection but keep it modern?

I’m moving next year and my house will be a constructed row house. I’m very anti-open kitchen design, having had one the past 10 years. I’m am introvert and I love to cook. So want my kitchen to be my sanctuary. Wondering if you have any videos that could be inspiring. My dining will be adjacent to the kitchen and I’ll throw in a large pocket door to open the space when needed/

Wow!! Who would have thought that dark built-ins would have such an impact without being too “out there”!! Also, loving the light fixture!

How do you store real books? Not just vintage-y styled ones?

  9. Russell Hogben on April 13, 2021 at 2:01 am

Do clients ever fill bookshelves with actual books?

Thanks! I would love to see a similar video on how to style a home with dark wood work. I’m always struggling to bring light in and can’t paint my historic homes woodwork white. Thanks!!

Hm. Very interesting tips. The only thing about this video that was hard to watch (actually hear) is the vocal fry. You have such a beautiful speaking voice without the fry. Your videos will be much better to watch without it. Thanks you for sharing your knowledge!!

This is really pretty while being neither masculine nor feminine. Can u please tell us the color of the paint used on the built in?

I noticed you do not use any books on their sides on a bookshelf (but you do on the coffee table.) Is this accidental or on purpose?

So pretty! And as an aside, the smokey blue shades are so good. Love your work!

Everything you do is so beautiful. You should do a video about how to style a male office or something like that

Do you have any tips for non buit in bookshelves? I’m thinking about styling the focal TV wall with th TV on the center above a console and adding two metalic gold bookshelves with glass accents, one on each side. Do you think that would look good? I’m having trouble to visualize it

Thank you for the free interior design "classes." I’m very happy that the camera moved slow enough for me to really take in all the details, keep up the great work!

  30. rneustel on April 13, 2021 at 2:40 am

Beautiful built-in shelves, in quality, styling and color!! I’m so happy you answered the question about all cool colors or a mix of warm and cool. I’ve always wondered about that. I think one of your best skills is styling shelves!!

So annoyed we don’t have a mcGee and co here in the uk☹

  32. MareMMM3 on April 13, 2021 at 2:42 am

Love the ideas, I’ll implement them in my bookshelf! Can you also make a video about window treatments? Pleeeease! Too many choices

  33. B on April 13, 2021 at 2:43 am

The shelves look too busy and cluttered. There are too many things in each shelf. I feel having just one object of art or just a few books on each shelf would look better.
