Inside A Classy $100K Transformation Of A 3-Room HDB Flat | Stacked Living In HDB Home Tour
This week, we tour this wonderfully transformed 3-room 720 sqft HDB flat (you absolutely have to see the before photos). Built at a cost of $100k, the finished look is a classy one – and gives off a really luxurious boutique-hotel vibe. It is self-designed, but that isn’t a surprise here given that homeowners Jacinda and Ben are interior designers themselves.
We really like the comfy sofa – it’s the size of a single bed so it can double up as a guest bed. And for those who love lounging in front of the TV anyways this is perfect for that. The kitchen also holds such a functional feature – a direct tap that you can fill up your pots on the hob with. It makes so much sense for those who cook a lot. Instead of filling up your pot at the sink and lugging it to the hob, you can pretty much do it there and then.
Special thanks to Jacinda and Ben for taking the time to show us around their sumptuously designed home. For more, please visit @haus_byjd for more of their works!

Ouch their English is really bad.. had to turn off the sound to watch this video
100k renovation?
Nice place. Iโve seen it before though?
hmm not sure if 100k is abit on the high side based on what can be seen from the video. not exactly sure how it can add up to 100k, maybe u can enlighten me
I need that cat at the end.
you dont understand how much i appreciate this channel like the amount of effort in finding these beautiful spaces is๐
anyways I cant decide which type of design is my favorite lol. I change my mind every time after seeing a new concept
i like it, but scale seems to be an issue. the husband looks like a giant squeezed into some tight spaces and corners. so to that, maybe it could function better, to have more ergonomic considerations incorporated.
Nice house! May I ask where did you get the sofa from?
With that 100k reno I’d rather buy a bigger flat with smaller reno…
I think this is one of the first that mentioned build-ins. Good to know that we should be getting timeless ones if build-ins are unavoidable.๐
Really classy! Well done!
knn you compare aiken (noc) $80k one vs this… this interior designer couple is machiam slapping their own faces. can tear down signboard liao
The best idea is the moving tap at the stove area, I was like "why I didn’t think of that ?"
This house so tastefully designed.
Can I check what type of flooring did they use for their living room?
Can we have a really lazy proof-inspired apartment?
i dont live in Singapore so I don’t know what hdb or bto means… but that doesn’t matter because the decor/ architecture is amazing!
Most of the IDs in Singapore have no proper training by way of a design school of any kind. All they do is search online for "inspiration", flip through a few design magazines and and suddenly they’re a bona-fide "designer".
This is our first look into an interior designerโs home ๐ We particularly like the open and classy feel that you get upon entering the flat, especially with the view of the entire living, dining, kitchen and service yard just from the entrance. It really opens up the 3-room flat! Which part of the flat is your favourite? Let us know in the comments below ๐
The furnishings including the fluffy cat? ๐
Where did they get the unit number fixture from! Love that font design
I would probably only spend max 25k on my reno excluding furnishing, haha
Love the elegant design. Just an unrelated rant; have you seen the resale prices of late? Good luck to people born after 2010.
100k !! . Why not buy a bigger house ??
So good layout n this is all they could think of? Much waste of space. No dedicated study/gaming/chillax room/walk in wardrobe/gym? Hack alr bedroom still so squeezy. Large empty foyer+living room but not primarily for gatherings(ref "toilet see thru nvm, just the 2 of us").
Wonder what their clients hse look like… Maybe client got more sense that’s y reject their designs, hehehe…
Correct me if I’m wrong. I too live in a 3 1/2 NG but intermediate A.. However, the square footage is 82sqm(882sqft) instead of 720sqft though…
Thanks Stacked Homes for the video contents.
From the way this Id GUY talk, its obvious his spouse is more intelligent than him.
And he is lucky to have an intelligent wife to make up his lack.
Have no idea why stacked shared this. I did watch the tour video by Jacinda herself on her YouTube channel. Despite having some cool ideas to suit their needs, there are very unnecessary carpentry works in my opinion. The whole foyer room, where they have the whole sitting area extending all the way to the lining room, unnecessary. The display cabinet in the pantry, looks nice but a bit unnecessary because more open surfaces mean more dust collected. Jacinda showed at the back of their house, they built carpentry to hide the washing machine and dryer, very unnecessary. Bedroom in the bathroom? The glass door idea is weird. Especially because it is facing the bed. Hotel rooms have that but usually toilet is not directly facing the bed. They have a lot of storage spaces but it is very impractical house filled with unnecessary carpentry work that increased their Reno costs. I do not think this is a good example of renovation. It is poorly designed.
Listen ID if u like aesthetic over practicality. The ID is not the one staying the house or living there. No wonder this 3-room flat can cost 100k.

love thiss channel feels so premium content channel ,great bonus with the good edits
$100k reno is too much for a depreciating property. Use that $ to upgrade to an appreciating asset.
Understand that hacking and carpentry is expensive, but this standard doesn’t look 100k to me
I need that pot filler!
