Interior Design — A Tiny & Luxurious Trailer Makeover

See how designer Jackie Glass transformed a 450-square-foot trailer into a stylish micro-home to live in during her own home renovations. Get her expert tips for making the most of a small space!

To give the basic trailer interior personality, Jackie began by painting the brown wooden kitchen cabinets a striking off-black hue, and the counter white for contrast. She swapped out the backsplash and added LED lights to add brightness. The living area comfortably seats seven and boasts a fireplace and TV set. The bedroom is kept white and airy with soft fabrics and the bathroom, while small, is functional thanks to added surface space. Jackie created a temporary patio for hosting family and friends, complete with ample seating and a pizza oven.

mister and harzburg – all while the third property was just beginning renovation the tent property was just upgraded to a yurt then began the laborious task of finding a fifth property possibly the most challenging aspect of the first properties renovation

When I paint to renovate, I’m going to move out too and then go to IKEA and just buy everything they have on hand and then see if I can handle the stress of it all. Nice job though, for real.

Gorgeous renovation! Can you share with us how you painted the counter tops and what type of paint. I tried this once and it was a total fail.

I keep coming back to view this video. What you have done is just amazing. I am looking for a mobile home in Florida. It will be a lot bigger that 450SF but I definitely will use some of your ideas for it.

    Great job! A little arrogant!

  12. Natasha Goodman on March 5, 2021 at 11:17 pm

Jackie what model and make is this trailer? And How much would you charge to do mine? 🙂

  13. Guy H. on March 5, 2021 at 11:19 pm

It was very nicely done. But… how realistic is it really? She kept mentioning IKEA which in itself means big dollars. That front yard area, I’ll guarantee you, is well over $15,000 dollars. Pretty impractical for a temporary home

    Making my shopping list
    1 Salem trailer
2 gallons of Benjamin Moore Black Onyx paint
5 gallons of Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace White Paint
    1 IKEA bathroom mirror
    1 IKEA click tile patio

I bet she pays someone to come empty her black water tank 😂 this is absolutely absurd.

Oh the things rich people are able to do. I could live in that rv full time !

  19. mi fa so la on March 5, 2021 at 11:22 pm

Oh sure. Of course she and her husband had a bundle to spend on this big ass trailer. And it’s usable later but not everyone can do this. The title of this video is obvious of what lifestyle she lives in….luxury.

  20. Zach Kocur on March 5, 2021 at 11:24 pm

Any chance you still have the trailer and looking to sell? Great job!

  21. Blaine Mitchell on March 5, 2021 at 11:28 pm

To be fair. Most of this was paint. The trailer company could have done that straight out of the factory. It looks 1000 times better.

I love it! I just wish there were "how to" instructions since I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to decorating or renovating…

  26. beth on March 5, 2021 at 11:33 pm

I and my future husband will do this Lord willing!

  27. Marilyn Phan on March 5, 2021 at 11:34 pm

The trailer is beautiful, who needs the big house! She should sell the house and just buy land to put her beautiful trailer on.

  28. OJ AWA on March 5, 2021 at 11:35 pm

Too much negativity, give the woman some respect pls, some of us actually watch for inspiration. Anyway she is a designer , she can work magic on a strict budget becos she knows where to buy , moreover the trailer becomes an investment that can be resold later on, stop the poverty mentality🤨

  29. Miss Annabelle on March 5, 2021 at 11:35 pm

Forest River makes Salem trailers, anyone know the model name/number for this particular floor plan?

  30. Leonardo BC on March 5, 2021 at 11:36 pm

If people knew how to live this way in a trailer. The term white trash trailer people would be debunked

Marvellous job, I do a lot of Reno’s, only 1 trailer Reno though. I loved how it turned out. I find even the newer trailers are so dark, paint the cabinets white , in fact paint it all out, brighten it up and viola, beautiful!

  35. Tyfini Palmore on March 5, 2021 at 11:43 pm

Oh My Gosh!!! I love it I wish I could own it and I wish I had your decorating ideas. Just BEAUTIFUL.

First, idk WHY RVs and trailers always have that horrible tan and brown interior going on!!! 😂
    Second, gorgeous Reno 👌🏾
Third, what did you end up doing with the trailer after your home renovation completed?
