I personally loved all the dark wood… I find that the soul has disappeared.Everything looks the same now…no contrast…so blend… you need some colour… some life …it has no personality at all.Love your electric blinds,the floors… the two beautiful paintings on the wall look lost,they don’t pop at all…I would change the frames or maybe that wall needs another colour..To me it seems like you were in such a hurray to get rid of the dark wood you just painted over everything in the same colour just to improve your mood…. This house was an absolute treasure before you changed it.
Sorry if I’m blunt but opinions are sometimes contradictory.I have the feeling you are far from finish from decorating this room…Am I right?

The sofa consumes the room. Too big for that space. Once section would have been enough with the two chairs. Her California Scandinavian look is boring already. Same colors, same style
I’ve ordered some of the shade samples from Lutron… which ones did you order? What color? Are yours Sheerlite or Translucent? I need blackout in the bedroom, but in my living room I don’t need anything more than just not allowing people to see in at night. Would their Sheer range at 3% accomplish that? Please share what you chose. Thank you.

Hi you home is beautiful !! Maybe you can help me out . I’ve been looking for a warm beige fir my bathroom . My problem is I have white bead board around the bathroom , white tub and of course the toilet and we’re putting in a wood floor . I’m into country so I don’t want it modern looking. What color would be best with white and staying with my country style. Thank you
I am glad you like your home. I love the dark wood, so I’m sad you painted the wood. (We are going in the other direction, by putting more wood into our house.) I do like the updated fixtures and the removal of the velvet curtains. Sawyer is so cute, btw!)

No way! I have books that are 10 or 20 years old and they kick off your allergies the moment you touch them. Is a task to first try and clean them before you can begin to read. Why don’t you do a video on the upkeep of vintage books? And the ones that are already yellowed and dusty. 🙁

The room ended up to be very nice.. But… how did we get to the point when we need to decorate our space with books that are in line with THE DECOR AND THE STYLE of the home..?? I guess books do not need to be chosen by content anymore..? too bad..

Light is so important and i’m glad you feel happier in the space but It feels like a real missed opportunity to not have added a beautiful statement pendant light in addition to and to offset the basic functionality of the the recessed (canned) lights. Love the vintage children’s books x

You have a really beautiful home, but adding everything up and it’s a fortune it’s nice but not affordable to me.
I wish you wouldn’t recommend spraying furniture with stain resistant chemicals. They are very detrimental to your health.
