Interior Design – Must-See Entryway Makeover With Paint
A dull front hall gets a fresh update with paint! Stylist Reiko Caron shares quick and easy tips on how to make a front entryway pop.
Reiko instantly updated the space by painting the interior of the front door with Sherwin-Williams Refuge (SW 6228) — a grey-blue that’s traditional with a hint of country. The casual, laid-back shade brightened the space. Reiko also painted a large console table in Sherwin-Williams Nugget (SW 6697) — a sunny citrus hue — for a vibrant accent. An Aztec-inspired runner, greenery and a large painting completes the look.
So pretty😍😍😍
Would love to had seen more boldness.
What is the basket with umbrella
I wish she would’ve left the bench in there to match the mirror and picked a lighter runner that wasn’t so dark! Add a couple of plants and pillows and that would’ve been perfect! The yellow console with the busy painting with the door and the boots and the dark stool and dark runner made this entry was WAY too busy!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!!!!
Hate the yellow table
R u libra or a Virgo?
I thought the lady on the thumbnail was Alexis Bledel, was surprised and so i clicked.
Wish the other walls were painted and more pics
I hope they found a use for that beautiful bench somewhere else in the house. I loved what you did there but if I sat on the stool to put shoes on, it would feel like I’m sitting on a toothpick because it’s so tiny.
I like the before renovation look better. Just changing the runner would do for my taste. In terms of practicality the bench was much better and even nicer than the stool.
I love the colour. Especially as it has a grey undertone. The door makeover is classy.
Love it

tbh i prefer before than after lol/.
Don’t understand why one would accentuate a door in such a small space, monocramati seemed
more pleasing to the eye, what would I know, only been designing for 50 plus yrs, hehe
That entrance rug is so horrendous and fugly
What a beautiful transformation! Love the door colour!
Love it !!
Nice entry way, love the bright colors! I would have left the original bench and painted it yellow and maybe added a cushion for seating to remove shoes etc.
So much better wow what color can do
Thank you for your video! Thanks to you, I also began to engage in creativity and opened my YouTube art photography channel for the interior.https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC00zeOkU3AsWk1gdHlSOYhA

It was the yellow console table that made this work.
I love the door. But- there is no way THAT three legged stool will handle supporting the removal of boots. lolz… no.
Love the painted door! The yellow console table, however, cheapens the space for me.
Wow, so nice.
I didn’t love the finished look, I did like the choice of color used for both the door and table. Would’ve just painted the door and called it a day.
I personally liked the before more, but the after is alright I just think she missed the nail on the head with the blue and yellow paint shades. After seeing the artwork it was like she picked the colors without looking at the art for more than a couple minutes and thought she had the correct shades but turned out to be just a bit off. I think it could have worked a lot more if they were colors directly from the painting and not just "it’s close enough".
Love it but the black and white painting would have been gone for me
Would have kept brass lined glass console table instead of yellow. Then add white faux fur stool underneath.
Not practical at all! Where is the beautiful bench? That blue and yellow combo reminds me of Ikea.
Reiko Caron, thanks for your great work. You come over as a lively pretty young lady with splendid design skills. You inspired me… and I try to pass it on to my environment… (there are people who need some ideas for their homes). Compliments from Germany…!
It’s gorgeous!
Don’t like the yellow table at all!
I would have put refuge on the right wall and rainstorm on the door
Door needed another coat and that yellow table is awful
I love it actually.
I love the Before esp the Lamp shade,
I like the before.
The rug needs grippers it will slide constantly and cause accidents otherwise.
Nice colors
That entrance rug is so horrendous and fugly
I liked the before better!
The Before looked much better than the After, in my opinion.
Adding colour to an all white space? What is this sorcery?
this is strange. I love the original
Love your ideas!
