The room is pretty. I have large dogs so white everything will never work anywhere. It’s frustrating to always see this all white everything in so many design channels, yet home decor brands actually sell patterned and colored bedding.

I so much agree with what you say about having your bedroom serve your season of life. I’ve reached a spot in my life in which walking is a problem and there is no way I am going to spend a lot of time and energy on throw pillows and extra decorative bed throws etc. I had to make things streamlined so I could get what I need easily and still have something beautiful and visually quiet plus have an open space right next to the bed where I can keep my walker during the night. The answer finally came when I let go of my big comforter and dark furniture. My headboard, dresser, nightstands, vanity and storage bookcase are now white. I also took off one of the closet doors so half of my closet is open and my vanity sits inside it and there is display space for nice purses, shoes and dresses. I also have a white rolling task chair for the vanity which I can push around the room so I can sit at the vanity, put clothes in the dresser or do housekeeping. I put a big light blue wing chair recliner next to the bed so I can relax and watch TV or knit. I mounted sconces for bedside lights to free up some room and I just have a coverlet on the bed tipped with the dogs blanket andnmy.sleeping pillows. I also have a fir throw and pillow on recliner. Its not what I would have if I were healthier but it is beautiful and restful and it’s what I need now.

our children have grown and moved out, so we got dogs and do not know how to protect the bed comforter. Have never had dogs in the house before.

Lovely, as always, you’ve got the magic touch. Sarrah, I noticed you have never actually been reffered to the "ART DECO". It is a period just before the 1nd World War and strong touches of this "School of design" we can see all around us nowadays. Should you dedicate one of your next videos to this "movement", please (1920-1930)?
