the best video on the subject that i have seen. every suggestion was practical and logical. she also didn’t assume that the sky is the limit for your budget nor try to show you how to replicate with ikea. just terrific all around

Great minds think alike and great minds go for function over form – everyday, b/c without function, you’ve got nothing. I love my little makeshift items as much as the "curated" things that cost a wee bit more. Her beautiful mind has manifested a beautiful face that makes a mind which makes a beautiful place.

A lot of wonderful great information. The presentation was fabulous.

  19. Brenda Nichols on April 4, 2021 at 1:38 am

How cute, she thinks I have room to put the furniture in the middle.

Couches are so much nicer away from walls! With a long table behind it, or long low cupboard, or even another couch facing the other way. Two couches facing each other of the same size with the fireplace at one end is nice. A large round ottoman, or round coffee tables are nice for not bumping the corners or stubbing toes! An ugly table just needs a pretty tablecloth to the floor, & a glass top to hold it in place.

A rum ?? Surely you mean room, I’m guessing you pronounce it rum to make yourself sound posh. It’s annoying. Bet you don’t call a broom a brum

  25. Mariana Lora on April 4, 2021 at 1:45 am

This was way better than Master Class!! And I didn’t have to pay for it.

  26. Michael D. Purvis on April 4, 2021 at 1:47 am

Looks good! Liked, shared and subscribed. 🙂

  27. Tom Hirschel on April 4, 2021 at 1:47 am

What ! The juicy armchairs, going ? Is the juicy armchair green? orange? Ah! leather. A round of applause, for Rita Konig! She seems to know what she’s talking about. Any rich Russians around ? choose her! This randomly appeared on my "YouTube" feed.

  28. drepotente on April 4, 2021 at 1:48 am

“Ugly table is better than no table”. She’s one of the most clever and sensible lady in designing. Of course my own opinion. 😊

  29. Jamie Ross on April 4, 2021 at 1:48 am

It’s nice to see Jennifer Saunders characters have started coming to life.

  30. Kathy A on April 4, 2021 at 1:50 am

    What’s a regular-sized room?

  31. RussiaIsARiddle on April 4, 2021 at 1:50 am

I enjoyed that. Makes me want to rearrange our great room.

  32. Sue Mauer on April 4, 2021 at 1:51 am

My living room is 13 ft by 13 ft with doors on three walls. I downsized from a 3-cushion sofa to a loveseat, which helped, but … any specific ideas for small rooms?

  33. J G A on April 4, 2021 at 1:52 am

your voice reminds me of princess Diana!

  34. EveryoneOnEarth on April 4, 2021 at 1:54 am

This is the only design channel I could find with colours on the walls. I’m subbed to this rare unicorn.

  35. Train Sail on April 4, 2021 at 1:55 am

It seems to me that most of what she says is fairly obvious. Having said that, I do like that green wall at 1:36. Does anyone know the name and make of that colour paint?

  36. Beryl Green on April 4, 2021 at 1:56 am

The best advice on interior design I’ve ever heard. (Of course, I already knew all this…)

  37. Máire Daly on April 4, 2021 at 1:56 am

A Great video, it presents the problems to be solved rather than a template of one size fits all.

  38. Christopher Pekarik on April 4, 2021 at 1:57 am

    She’s funny! Love her tone.

  39. kimberly lank on April 4, 2021 at 1:57 am

The scale ruler mentioned – for Usa 1/4 mentioned = ? A ft??

  40. Tim Franko on April 4, 2021 at 1:57 am

    Gotta love a juicy armchair

  41. marcy on April 4, 2021 at 1:59 am

The "Open Concept" really means that those in the other side /family room watching tv can be heard & disturb the people reading or talking to guests in the front/living room part of the house. Learned the hard way.

  42. Gill Brown on April 4, 2021 at 1:59 am

At last an interior designer that makes sense

  43. lynn on April 4, 2021 at 2:00 am

Some visuals would have been welcome.

  44. Jeanne Amato on April 4, 2021 at 2:02 am

In long rooms I love conversation areas and gaming areas.

  45. pacificrules on April 4, 2021 at 2:03 am

I really dont agree with some of her interior designing advice.
I dont have a degree in interior designing, but I design the way I feel makes me happy and having fun doing it.

  46. Jeremy Lindberg on April 4, 2021 at 2:03 am

Ms. Konig is absolutely brilliant. This is so clever, calm and wise to hear. It is quite unusual to find, on top of her talent and skill, really.

  47. sail INg on April 4, 2021 at 2:04 am

    Loved her fabric choices.

  48. Thaddeus Frazier on April 4, 2021 at 2:05 am

  49. Sherry Hudson on April 4, 2021 at 2:07 am

Why not use a round coffee table. Or two step down squares?

  50. Sunita Agrawal on April 4, 2021 at 2:07 am

Very nice and useful tips and love the presentation with drawings.
