I never liked it to begin with! Glad its going!

  2. Patricia Page on June 2, 2023 at 10:49 am

I would paint the book shelf black. Love your ideas.

  3. Bako on June 2, 2023 at 10:50 am

I’ve always liked the rustic/industrial style with hints of Morocco. Still like that style. Will continue to like that style. I generally don’t follow trends at all. But for furniture flipping I always will try and follow the trends.

I personally don’t understand why some people will redecorate their whole home when trends change. Should always decorate your home how you personally like. Not what’s the "hottest" trend. BUT it’s good for flipping business so I mean sure

  4. Holly Hold on June 2, 2023 at 10:52 am

Yes, I’m so so sick of it. Yay!!
    "Changing and growing," well-expressed.

  5. Hayley Molihan on June 2, 2023 at 10:54 am

"Farmhouse" style is something that will never go dead, it just changes over time. Like my great grandparents home, my grandparents home and my home are all considered Farmhouse style but each house is completely different

  6. Peggy Miller on June 2, 2023 at 10:55 am

No it’s not I love farmhouse style

  7. Lydia Miller on June 2, 2023 at 10:58 am

Please do more thrift store flips! I’m really interested to see your creativity with things that we would find it at the store. Please! Please!!

I can barely remember, but I think I recall jelly rolls… Yes they had to have been. They were everywhere, just like the blood. Oh the blood. It was terrifying. The DMV is terrible, but this was a Tuesday at 4am. I’m guessing you didn’t know, but that’s when "THEY" come out… And "THEY" want… Shit. Here they come!!! Over and out!!!

  9. Ali Oreo on June 2, 2023 at 10:59 am

LOVE the lanterns and metal tub. They look way better after.

  10. Marilyn Thaxton on June 2, 2023 at 11:00 am

I would love to see those beautiful black lanterns have the look of Vintage Mirror!! I think it would look great ☺️…Love the video and all the items! Well done 👍👍👍 I

I’m over the word signs, but I still like farmhouse. I’m transitioning from farmhouse shabby chic, to modern farmhouse, with tons of greenery.

  12. Cynthia Daw on June 2, 2023 at 11:01 am

I remember retro. I remember brass and glass. I also remember small kids getting finger prints and smudging it. I hated that!!! When farm house came in, I was sold, cause kids can touch it and even play with it. No prints!! Ahhh. Yeap, you have to worry about kids messing it up!! Farmhouse!!

  13. Cynthia Rodriguez on June 2, 2023 at 11:02 am

I Love farm hause decoration !🤔

  14. bren manock on June 2, 2023 at 11:02 am

Thank you Christina for pronouncing signage passé. My aesthetic and yours are similar and I love your title. Also loved the redos.

  15. Emma Blanton on June 2, 2023 at 11:02 am

Perfect. I am getting rid of my farmhouse decor also. I want a modern industrial look.
Can you do a video on transforming farmhouse furniture to modern industrial?

  16. bren manock on June 2, 2023 at 11:03 am

Love you did inspo for me to do same

  17. Brenda Russell on June 2, 2023 at 11:07 am

Hi! Just like my wardrobe my home needs freshening up as well. I look forward to the New York and Paris collections each year. I use them as guides, not necessarily the rule. So I was excited to find your channel. It is fresh without going over the top. I’ve never been a personal fan of word art/decor. Especially to the degree that it rose. While I love classic and timeless pieces. Every collection needs fresh touches of terracotta, texture, or variety 🤔. You’ve won a new subscriber. Can’t wait to see what else you can teach an old dog. Have a lovely day.

  19. Karen Norris on June 2, 2023 at 11:08 am

Thank you for no farm house.❤

  20. Annemarie Therese King on June 2, 2023 at 11:08 am

Oh please dear Lord oh please let it be so, this farmhouse thing is overwhelmingly overdone.
Oh for the love it’s overdone, it’s baked it’s cooked it’s old as hell.
Do we actually need signs to tell us that we need to be kind or that there’s a bathroom behind the door or that every single place in America has fresh picked apples?

  21. Gigi Reddick on June 2, 2023 at 11:10 am

I love this video and all the diy projects. You have great taste and vision. I love how you repurposed them items. Awesome job. Black lanterns were my favorite but all were beautiful.

  22. Gayle Muir on June 2, 2023 at 11:10 am

I liked everything. However, I think the last large vase would look better and more dramatic with something branch-like and less dense. It’s such a large vase that I think it would be more balanced with tall branches.

  23. carrie russell on June 2, 2023 at 11:10 am

NEVER, You can always update & make it Fresh.

  24. DoeEyedFaun on June 2, 2023 at 11:13 am

I love the idea behind farmhouse but due to living situations have never been able to make it happen. I know it’s on its way out so I’ve been considering what direction to go in the near future when we finally buy a house and I am leaning toward French country. It has many of the elements I love about farmhouse, brings in a more color (not all white) and is more timeless. Would love to hear anyones thoughts on taking this route.

  25. HeavymetalHylian on June 2, 2023 at 11:15 am

I grew up spending a lot of time on my grandparent’s farm and it was completely different from the farmhouse that pinterest represents. I feel like the mass manufactured decor looks cheap and impersonal, but the things my grandparents owned were antiques, second hand, gifts, or other things that have been around for a long time because they were good quality items. I think it’s good to get some inspiration online or from magazines, but the things in your home should be things that you really love and that are dependable. Instead of buying something that’s just for decoration, decorate with things that mean something to you. It makes a big difference and feels so cozy and welcoming. Put your memories on display.

    Mirror best flip

  27. Mommy Garcia on June 2, 2023 at 11:19 am

Farmhouse is sooooo dead & outdated !! Chickens pigs cows buffalo check so outdated unless you live on a farm ! Ugh !!

  28. Grace Moore on June 2, 2023 at 11:19 am

Really enjoyed this video. I love farmhouse style but have too much. You’ve inspired me to change up a few items. It was amazing how upscale the big lanterns became when you painted them black.

  29. FloridagirlDeb on June 2, 2023 at 11:21 am

I have never liked farm house style for my home. Am more eclectic person. But your make over are awesome tips.

  30. Donna Assenza on June 2, 2023 at 11:21 am

I don’t think it will ever die. I think it can be morphed into just about any style

  31. Emma Dee on June 2, 2023 at 11:22 am

    IM OVER OVER IT

  32. mascottie on June 2, 2023 at 11:23 am

You could repaint the shelf to be Less farmhouse too 😃

  33. Cheryl Atkinson on June 2, 2023 at 11:23 am

great makeovers. I love these kind of videos! I think my favorite were the metal balls turned gold and the lanterns.

  34. Earth Mama on June 2, 2023 at 11:23 am

This is my first time to your channel and I really appreciate the reuse mentality of your DIYs! I’m so tired of the "run out and spend more money to make or buy the latest trends". I hope to see more channels promoting upcycling and reusing what we already have. 🦋🌻

Words on their way out?…tell that to all the people who just bought a Cricut cutting machine, heehee…

  36. Elizabeth Gulliver on June 2, 2023 at 11:27 am

I so wish I lived over in the USA. Australia amazing but don’t have so much here.

  37. Ani Cole on June 2, 2023 at 11:27 am

Loved it, love the idea of updating what you have.

  38. Vintage Southern Belle- Nichole Cole on June 2, 2023 at 11:29 am

I love the casual feel of farmhouse. I lean toward a vintage farmhouse… using all my antique pieces instead. I totally agree with you… go with what you love. Thank you for sharing. Loved your ideas!! ♥️

  39. In The Kitchen on June 2, 2023 at 11:33 am

I love doing a modern farmhouse/eclectic nature look.

  40. Cambry on June 2, 2023 at 11:35 am

I try not to pay attention to trends and go with stuff that just makes me happy. My home is definitely a mix of stuff. 😆 But I do worry about color coordination. And since I live in an area that is a mix of farms and country – I like to keep a country-ish atmosphere. I get a lot of compliments ☺️

  41. Alessandra Ferrara on June 2, 2023 at 11:35 am

    The translation is tragic.

  42. Tracey Austin on June 2, 2023 at 11:37 am

Note: Do NOT use Pampus grass if you have cats! They like to eat it and they choke!

  43. Lois Wood on June 2, 2023 at 11:37 am

Great makeovers, love the lanterns! For spray painting I like to use a lazy susan to put the item on, just spin it for easy painting access.

  44. Ro Gamildien on June 2, 2023 at 11:37 am

    I still love farmhouse
Thing is,its warm and cozy without taking over……

  45. Dw64 on June 2, 2023 at 11:38 am

Actual real farmhouse decor that is antique I say yup. The mass produced faux signs and “chippy” stuff to me just looks kitschy and like you live in a Cracker Barrel 😐 a curated home with finds that are really antique or original and not mass produced are great but that takes time and I think most people just want to go to Hobby Lobby and get the fast faux stuff which ends up looking fast and faux 🤷🏻‍♀️

  46. Sally Duke on June 2, 2023 at 11:38 am

    no it’s not

  47. T Anaya on June 2, 2023 at 11:39 am

Exactly what I was looking for! I have a few galvanized things I’m going to use the terra cotta! ❤️

  48. carolyne k on June 2, 2023 at 11:41 am

I’m sorry farmhouse will never go out of style so don’t listen to what anybody says.. farmhouse style is the best looking style around

  49. Elizabeth Oconnor on June 2, 2023 at 11:41 am

    No

  50. Sandra Cartica on June 2, 2023 at 11:43 am

I don’t think farmhouse style is dead. I think it can be transitioned by de-cluttering walls and surfaces with very few furniture changes. 🤩
