WANNA SEE & "GO" With YOU ANTIQUE SHOPPING…PS Dear lovely friend..i WISH you could see my stuff…i inherited some beautiful things…then i had a Antique shop several years ago…oh my gosh…do YOU know i only have like one picture of it …And i cant find that!!….anyway …Russell ‘ Father & i were to gether still ..Russ was a babe in arms…)😊😮now he s off to BOY SCOUT CAMP..) .. Anyway..i had the whole walls painted lavender….then i went to thrt store & goodwill ect …picked up lots grapevine wreaths soaked them in big buckets of water..nailed them ALL around the ceiling….then had a ole4part Gazebo" trellis .i put that up…w chippy paint…i ankered it w cinder blocks & camouflage w greenery…..it turned out cute…..had the windows covered for 30 days ….w COMING SOON……A S…..so they couldnt see in while i worked on. It…..turned out cute……i had found the coolest merchandise also…..this ole curvy garden bench " you would of LOVED. It had original pale green paint. W curvy arms…then i had a neat cushion w toile fabric slipcover on it for softness…..apparently they didnt get pillow cause i still have slipcover..).im so glad because im going to shop" my house pretty soon ..in my " refresh" & its going somewhere….but that bench was soo neat..i did sell it…i was open about 10 months…..it was something…….next time ill tell you about my "french- y dress Boutique…..you would of liked both……..so yes would really like to go to A shops w you…….oh so…my house is 1935. I think ive mentioned it…and although ive got some great things….it looks …👎👎👎i try to make presentable….but hard at this time…i have a service for 12 rose covered china in bk closet fr ny Aunt..for years……breaks my hart but …cant help it now…….love the video….thanks Karen in TEXAS💚
Hi Monica. I’m sure you know that blue and white is classic 🙂 You really got some good deals all the way around. The thrift prices where I live aren’t nearly as good! April Cornell is usually much higher priced in general, so, lucky finds there. I have some of her textiles that I love and have had for many years. Can’t beat quality. I paid a lot more, but never tire of them. Thank you for the fresh inspiration that you always share.

New sub – love your channel! I’vw been collecting blue & white pieces, & toile fabric for a decade+. & have found plates, cups, etc from all over, w/imagery & styles unique to their origin. Sev plates have depictions of early America, & others are from France, England, Italy (love Spode), Asia, Jamaica, the Orient, Portugal, Bahamas, a NJ State Plate, & floral prints (Waverly + for fabric), w/some in different sizes. I have a lot of Chinese blue & white decor pieces, & 4 ‘shoes’ – a ladies’ small boot, a slipper, & then blue & white ceramic Dutch clogs, & so much more. Many are above the kitchen cabinets, & the rest interspersed around my house, so it’s not overpowering. It’s sooo nice to find your channel (recommended), & find that you really live blue & white decor, too! You really scored w/,the apron & towels – so pretty! I love your style! It’s classic, & will always look elegant:)

The fruit bowl was a freebie from grocery store in the 50’s… My mom had one as well as my mother in law… It was either from acme or a&p grocery stores… You collected points weekly until you had enough points for the glass fruit bowl painted to resemble milk glass.. I don’t think they are truly milk glass as they are are a bit transluscent

Your thrift store knows what is collectible. Those plates were high as was that piece of milk glass. And those white chargers are at Hobby Lobby for $1 each…just bought some! Hit Etsy and Ebay for better prices…even with shipping.

The blue and white plate you showed at the thrift store is called Liberty Blue and the dishes all show scenes from American History. I have a big set that belonged to my grandmother. I still use it for special occasions but the cups are very fragile and easily broken. They are made in England and there is a similar set with English scenes on them. Your table setting is lovely!
