The Empire State building is a little further up on 34th on the west side It’s actually close to the Macys Dept store you filmed when you were on 33rd st also on the west side. Also Times Square is also a little further up on 42nd street also on the west side.
I was disappointed with the pizza in New York and I went there just to get good pizza but I was told Chicago is where you have to go to get the really good pizza 🙏🏾
3/31/23 I luv luv luv NY. I love eating from the St vendors. I love the Wholesale industry in Soho and the Village and Avenue of America’s all these areas u can buy in bulk. I’ve been buying wholesale and bulk for years from age 20 to now age 66. I definitely luv luv luv the Vintage shops and All the thrift shops. NY is fun stays open 24- 7. But u do have to be very careful. Nothing but fun and good times. And in wholesale industry things are really really cheaper. Be blessed enjoy your journey 🙏🏽💜 stay safe also wear ur madk when out and about. 😷 I definitely luv my country life better slower traffic, quiet and laid back. NY has the best tasting food, yummmm 😋 to die for. Yessss. Making me hungry
I was raised in the Bronx New York and can honestly say ny is fun to just visit. We didn’t have much a childhood because we couldn’t play outside and it’s also dirty lol I do however love nyc food. Those Jamaican beef patties are one of my favorite quick things to make. They also have chicken and other ones but I get them at BJ’s in bulk. Love them
I knew when you took that first bite your eyes were GOING to roll to the back of your head…LOL You will never eat dominos again!! There is nothing like NEW YORK PIZZA…it’s a whole different taste. That Pattie was on point..I could tell by the way the ground beef was looking!! So glad you enjoyed yourself but you MUST go to Time Square at Night it is unbelievable!!! Nice place to visit but I could never life there it’s exhausting just walking down the street and the driving is a beast!!!

Thank you, it was so much fun watching you explore my city!! Lots of first timers feel overwhelmed but there’s a reason for that and a trick to overcome it. It’s not just that we natives are used to the crowds, it’s that we identify as part of the crowd; we, all of us, are the city, so you gotta just jump in. The overwhelm calms down when you consider yourself part of it all, instead of simply an observer.
Everybody, whether native, transplant, commuter, day tripper, or tourist (etc.), we’re all part of the experience😊

On your next trip you should drive into New York and try staying in the outer boroughs not Manhattan if you enjoyed the city you’ll be surprised at how different the rest of the actual city is
I had to laugh when you said near the PATH in Jersey was "so busy". I thought wait til she gets to Manhattan. Lol. You can use the rest room at Macy’s or any department store. Most fast food places. Even hotels. The subways really not that hard to navigate. Despite our reputation, NYers are willing to help out. We love telling people how to get somewhere.
I have always wanted to visit NYC. For me, I wouldn’t go to Time Square or anything touristy like that. My thing is experiencing the actual neighborhoods! Harlem (Uptown), Spanish Harlem (East NY), Greenwich Village, SOHO, etc. I’d try the "chopped cheese" sandwich, pizza in Brooklyn, Bodegas up in the Boogie Down Bronx. That’s the NYC I want to see!

PS: I’m gonna make the walnut mushroom tacos. Best bang for your buck to buy walnuts – Costco. Keep them in small bags in your freezer and they stay fresh forever – until you finish.
Gotta go to Juniors in Brooklyn on Flatbush Avenue for cheese cake. I have it shipped all the way to Las Vegas. Miss the days when I lived within walking distance from Junior’s.

I’m from Jersey…literally a 25 minute drive from NY and I get overwhelmed when I go. LOL The next time you come back, try Bleecker Street Pizza. It’s so good! And shout out to you for blurring out people’s faces in your video. So much respect for people’s privacy. And this video was a fun to watch. You mentioned it being too long but you’re doing so much, you gotta show as much as you can!

Go to NY during black Friday. There’s room to breathe and explore and get the hang of the Metro, plus the Xmas decor is beautiful.
