Made in the USA

coyote black Drab

Dimensions: 119″ L x 60″ W
Weight: 10.4 oz.
Weight Capacity: 300 lbs.
Seamless single panel construction
Mil-Spec parachute nylon
Innovative heavy duty 1″ nylon loops incorporate double box X stitching for clipping or attaching to tree straps, whoopie slings, or anchor points
Extremely lightweight
Reinforced ends and hems
Made in USA
No Seams
You will need a suspension system, this does not even come with carabiners.

military grade parachute nylon

I like that it is a seamless design here, not that it matters too much, but if you can eliminate a seam, especially one on which you find yourself lying, it can’t be a bad thing.

There is a Version 2 of this hammock called the V2 and it will support up to 500lbs

Cons : does not include the tree straps but at this price, no hammock does that I know of.

No straps.
No ropes and that is disappointing.

Eagles Nest Outfitters Slap Strap, Set of 2 is a good set of straps if you are interested

Not a bad looking hammock.I agree that is a good lounging around maybe in the backyard or the campsite type Hammock. I already own six hammocks I better not get another one though LOL

  5. Reagan L. on November 16, 2021 at 11:33 am

I have 2 I bought off of woot.com for $25 each. They post them on there regularly.

They actually had the Yukon Outiftters hammocks on Woot not all that long ago. I snagged the XL one with the mosquito netting for around $35-$40 shipped. Definitely not a bad deal for someone tha doesn’t have a hammock already.

Great timing for this review, Luke! They are on Woot for the next few days from $20-$25 and I am getting the V2 Camo that is rated to 500lbs. I’m 6’1", 240. This will be my first hammock–can you recommend a suspension system? I have an REI very close. Thanks!

It does not compare well to an ENO hammock

  9. HonestMan98 on November 16, 2021 at 11:40 am

    Hi Luke,

Looks like a nice product. You know that I have never used a hammock when I do hikes. Now, I am actually looking into it.
    Thank you for the review!!!

Nice looking hammock. After using tents for backpacking for many years I started using a hammock this year and found it to be more comfortable and easier to pack up. Thanks for the hammock video and hope to see more.

Nice hammock option. I really like Made In USA.. Thanks for the vid.

  14. Richard Bucker on November 16, 2021 at 12:00 pm

The gather end of the hammock has a strap. It seems to be the same on the featherweight version of the same hammock. I see you are using a carabiner and YO does not offer one. Any ideas or links to alternate setups?

I bought a Hennessy hammock that some retailer couldn’t get rid of for about $100. It was a Bombay door entry that’s not that popular anymore. After spending 2 nights in that, I can’t stand sleeping on the ground anymore. Spoiled rotten! I’ve never slept good camping. The first night out I slept 7 hours. The next night 9 hours! Sure I woke up time to time. But the sleep was high quality. At home I cannot sleep on my back. In the asymmetrical flat laying hammock, it’s not a problem. And you can side sleep some, but will probably end up on your back. If your overweight, I highly recommend it.

I love Yukon Outfitters gear. You can find it from time to time on Woot.com pretty cheap. I slept in their Mosquito Hammock XL for overnights. Picked one up for $30. They are rated for 300lbs but held me overnight time and again at 325lbs without issue. Thanks for the review Luke. I recently picked up their V2 but haven’t had a chance to use it.

  19. Abit of this! & Abit of that! With Danny on November 16, 2021 at 12:13 pm

what is the weight of the average 4 season tent set(5 – 10 lbs) up compared to the weight of a hammock winter set up(2 – 4 lbs)? i bet you’ll be carrying more weight with the tent! what are the price’s of them? cost of a ground winter set up- 4 season tent($300+), sleeping pad($80+), winter sleeping bag($80+). hammock winter setup- basic hammock and straps($100+), under quilt($100+), top quilt($170+). why blanket statement like saying "if you want to carry that much gear"? if you do the math you are carrying the same amount of gear and less weight. remember every one- camping is personal! what work for one may not work for all. look at all of your options that includes weight and price of the gear.

Great hammock Luke. I bought one in camo with tree straps a few months ago and liked it so much I bought another one for my wife. They are great for hanging out and taking a summer snooze. The camo is great, I have had deer walk up to 10 feet from me.

  21. Tommy on November 16, 2021 at 12:15 pm

I have one of these hanging in my office! Absolutely love it

  22. Alex Banks on November 16, 2021 at 12:18 pm

Not a hammock guy but I’m watching.

  23. Daniel Helmbrecht on November 16, 2021 at 12:19 pm

Just bought this on Amazon for $19.99 + $5.50 shipping = $25.49! When I received the package I heard something rattling inside- Yukon Outfitters included 2 carabiners free. The hammock is high quality. I didn’t think I would like the coyote brown color but I do.

  24. Chip Sanford on November 16, 2021 at 12:19 pm

I bought the V2 version of this hammock in camo. I used Mule Tape as both suspension and tree straps. The price was right because I bought it on  Woot. Slept in in on a Boy Scout campout. Never had a better night’s sleep.
