In this video I share 8 minimalist decor tips that I use in my apartment. And in the spirit of minimalist living, they are all easy to do and they don’t need anything expensive.
I’ve been kind of hesitant to do a home tour, since sharing every aspect of my home online feels a bit too personal. On the other hand, I’m really excited about sharing these minimalist design tips with you, and of course I always want to honor the requests I get if possible. Heart of Kentucky. Hi Vera. How are you? I love this video. I don’t exactly remember it from before, but I had given it a thumbs up when I did. I just had My Aunt Joy come and take away a lot of my plants. I don’t have room for them. My Aunt Sharon keeps finding the smallest lamps they make at the second hand stores, because they are hard to find. She brought me another one today. They put out the sweetest light. I was a little turned off by minimalism but this makes me want to do it now.
I’d love some videos about hygge, lagom, etc. My primary influences are Japanese minimalists , like fumio sasaki, and heal your living (look her up on yt, she’s awesome), but as someone living with depression and seasonal affective disorder , I’d love to integrate some of these ideas as a form of self care and just an appreciation of the aesthetic. New subscriber btw, and really enjoy your videos.

Love your minimal home.. The fact that it shows your personal style and is not just generic like a lot of minimal homes are.. I also have pictures/paintings and statues/pieces from my world travels that I love and couldn’t never get rid of for the sake of minimalism.. Some minimalists might call it clutter… But not for me because it brings joy 🙂

I like the cozy esthetic! I want my home to look and feel calm. Right now its crazy right now im looking through boxes and have a huge storage unit to look through my mom was a horder and im looking through all the stuff she kept that was mine.

Color is important in minimalism and colors you show are not minimalist. You say you are in the ‘less is more’ concept, but I find you are more in the asian style. You are not in the scandinavian style. But your videos and topics are very interesting.

why you don’t show an overview of your apart..we see nothing from your apart..most of time the floor and decor.. but doesn’t replace an all over view;)! it’s not really a room tour or? I think the video should be named "room decorations"

Did not know you were Dutch, So am I, but live in the US already for more then 40 years. Gezellig is the word, same in my apartment in So California and of course lots of plants! A bit of a Bohemian touch also. Thank you Vera for sharing.
