This is the first video in my Nucore Performance Series which will include videos on installing the floor, making difficult cuts, my tips on alternative ways to trim your installation so it looks amazing, and last a product review where I put this floor to the test. Hello! I’m planning on installing lifeproof flooring on our entire first floor. Over the past few days, I’ve watched almost all of your videos and I trust your opinion so I wanted to double check..this can be installed over ceramic tile right? No need to prep the tile with anything? Thank you!

  4. wayne roadarmel on August 11, 2021 at 10:07 pm

is this the same as the old nucore??? can you you use any brand of 6 mill plastic kind of a dumb question also you think they want it because it has a cork backing

  5. Neel Sheth on August 11, 2021 at 10:07 pm

Hi! Is the Home depot lifeproof LVP flooring SPC type of WPC?

  6. thebattlesandthewar on August 11, 2021 at 10:08 pm

What is the color name of the plank you’re installing in this video?

  7. Lorenzo Vienna on August 11, 2021 at 10:10 pm

  9. DsHaM 94 on August 11, 2021 at 10:13 pm

I’m planning to use this in my basement over tile. Do I need to skim the grout lines, or will the barrier be sufficient?

  10. r g on August 11, 2021 at 10:14 pm

Gm…..Just "keeping up with the Jones"….

  11. Ross Zirpoli on August 11, 2021 at 10:17 pm

Or how about us ring a normal trowel. Instead of a throw away trowel. I would think someone who has been doing floor for as long as you. You would have normal trowels. And using that premixed Henry filler. Why not use pro flex that dries in less then a hour.

  12. B Will on August 11, 2021 at 10:18 pm

Does this floor make a crunching or popping noise when you walk on it?

  13. John Russon on August 11, 2021 at 10:18 pm

Love the vids, you sold me on the nucore performance. However, they don’t have the choices my wife wants. Which would be your second choice to be able to withstand heavy traffic scratches and sun fading?

  14. Leonardo Ocampo on August 11, 2021 at 10:19 pm

Quick question, Do you think that the blade didn’t cut through the floor because the thickness might have been too thick?

  15. A K on August 11, 2021 at 10:20 pm

We just bought 550 sq feet of the founders gunstock nucore performance. It’s amazing. We installed duralux in the past in the basement. Nucore perforce is bae

  16. oziel1971 on August 11, 2021 at 10:20 pm

  17. Tom Cat on August 11, 2021 at 10:24 pm

Help. I need new floors in my house. I am sick of plastic looking fake wood planks. I hate them all. They are everywhere. What else is there. This trend has to change.

  18. Chris Zarbock on August 11, 2021 at 10:25 pm

The music is so loud and then I can hardly hear you.

  19. Georgia Kaempf on August 11, 2021 at 10:27 pm

The Nucore performance is over priced and I don’t trust a product that cracks in half that easily.

  20. Elizabeth Guzman on August 11, 2021 at 10:30 pm

Good info that. I needed thanks

  21. Sandi C on August 11, 2021 at 10:30 pm

Where do you buy Nucore for the best price? Thanks

  22. mayamadeline on August 11, 2021 at 10:33 pm

What’s the best way to find an installer that would be able to work with the the NuCore performance product? Would any installer have the required equipment? We are in Arizona. Would it be easier to find someone with experience with LifeProof?

  23. Shaun the Sheep on August 11, 2021 at 10:39 pm

    What color is this floor?

  24. Joe McFly on August 11, 2021 at 10:39 pm

Baseboard removal is easy but installing is not my strong suit

  25. Bill DeLong on August 11, 2021 at 10:39 pm

please reduce the volume of the background music, it’s very detracting from your soft voice, otherwise great info!

  26. sadiq ahmed on August 11, 2021 at 10:40 pm

What kind of miter blade did you use?

  27. johnmichael karma on August 11, 2021 at 10:42 pm

@7:17 ,Geez did I cringe ! good info

  28. Ivan Ivanov on August 11, 2021 at 10:42 pm

Not happy with Nicore Performance (. I have a clicking noise when walk on that. it looks like it comes from end locks. Probably you need ideal subfloor for Nucore. Even I know some area is flat …still have the noise issue. Yes it difficult to cut and will dull your blades after one cut. I had about 100 boxes, some plank had spots with missed cork underlayment and had a plank with bubbled up top layer. And the floor it self feels cold …even .I used underlayment – blue one that is approved be Nucore. Is it SPC?

  29. fhpd350 on August 11, 2021 at 10:43 pm

I think I’m still sold on the Lifeproof in Sterling Oak. 🙂 Although I still look at the darker grey shades, but I think anything darker will look too dark once inside the home.

  30. Tam on August 11, 2021 at 10:44 pm

We lived in Roseville CA. Can you refer any contractor can do Nucore performance lvp? Thanks

  31. Matt Lachman on August 11, 2021 at 10:46 pm

    Thank you. Much appreciated

  32. Monique Akers on August 11, 2021 at 10:47 pm

Do you have any recommendations on how to find a flooring specialist or contractor willing to put luxury vinyl planks on stairs? We are in Arizona and Home Depot will not install vinyl on stairs

  33. Tom Cat on August 11, 2021 at 10:47 pm

Whats the most realistic vinyl flooring that you have installed

  34. Wayne Guy on August 11, 2021 at 10:51 pm

How about coretec, isn’t it a better product?

  35. Norm Pryor on August 11, 2021 at 10:52 pm

I am in the middle of installing 2400 sq ft of this devil product. Yes it is extremely tough, hard to cut, hard to lock in, planks have a bow to them which can cause a rocking motion. I will never use it again. A hand disc sander does work very well to trim some cutout areas. Good luck!

  36. Michael F. on August 11, 2021 at 10:53 pm

I just installed 400 square feet of this stuff. It’s hard as a rock. Destroyed two “laminate” non ferrous metal saw blades. It won’t scratch. It is some tough stuff and it was the easiest install ever!

  37. Samuel K on August 11, 2021 at 10:57 pm

Where is the sound? I can see you talking but there’s no words… Please fix this in future videos

  38. Matt Lachman on August 11, 2021 at 10:59 pm

Would you recommend the performance over the regular Nucore. I am having a professional install it

  39. Darth nataS on August 11, 2021 at 11:00 pm

Anyone tried Floor and Decor Optimax? Comparable to Nucore Performance?

  40. Christopher Larkin on August 11, 2021 at 11:00 pm

Hey JonesKnows, how do u deal with hallways? Do u always install the planks in the same direction as the other rooms ? Thanks

  41. Lowell Hanson on August 11, 2021 at 11:00 pm

How does this floor compare to Coretec? Do you use Coretec for any of your installs? Any chance you could do a product review? Your videos are very informative. We are hoping to upgrade from carpet to vinyl within the next few months. Looking for something that works well for dogs and gives them some traction while walking on it.

  42. Kimjay on August 11, 2021 at 11:01 pm

Have you ever installed Armstrong Pryzm LVT flooring? Looks pretty darned good and supposedly has a tough wear layer. Would love your opinion thanks! 👍
