Although this is a “minimalist” kitchen, it’s used primarily by a “non-minimalist” family. I’m in the process of brainwashing them, so hopefully the cupboards and fridge will be cleaner next time.

  2. Sandra Cvjetkovic on November 30, 2022 at 6:47 am

What is your height from the counter top to the upper cabinets? (Backslash height). Looks great!

  3. Chris B on November 30, 2022 at 6:48 am

Daniel, it looks butiful clean. But I have few questions regarding the boiler.
What needs to happen to access the boiler?
Do you need half day to disasemble the closet?
Is it gas powerd unit? If so regular checkup might be needed.

  4. Deuslike on November 30, 2022 at 6:49 am

do you have to buy the ikea fridge to fit into ikea kitchen?

  5. William Chew on November 30, 2022 at 6:49 am

Hi Daniel, I’m planning to get these Ikea Voxtorp doors too. However, I’m a little concerned that the white finish may turn yellow over time. How does yours fair now?

  6. Susannah Perri on November 30, 2022 at 6:49 am

  8. David Tan on November 30, 2022 at 6:49 am

what’s the brand of the induction cooker?

  9. Sean Anderson on November 30, 2022 at 6:52 am

My kind of minimalism. Shove everything in an god awful heap away in the cupboards. ๐Ÿ˜†

  10. Mahesh on November 30, 2022 at 6:53 am

How do you take the fridge or washing machine or for repair? By unscrewing the cabinet door and the next cabinet as well? Same with oven and microwave. Curious to know!

  11. Philipp Premium on November 30, 2022 at 6:54 am

    where is the backsplash from?

  12. Mila Mou on November 30, 2022 at 6:55 am

I like very much the design of the extractor fan/cooker hood. All over Scandanavia and especially here in Finland, the drying rack cupboard is standard, especially in the larger cities where space saving is necessary due to properties being smaller. This is the first time I see the drainage rack outside this part of the world. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  13. Aparna on November 30, 2022 at 6:57 am

Please let me know the cooker hood model

  14. M Z on November 30, 2022 at 7:02 am

Please put on a t shirt of the right size for you ๐Ÿ™„ !

  15. Thom Thomas on November 30, 2022 at 7:05 am

Why can’t more designers be practical like Daniel? I have a "kitchen designer" who hates appliances and cupboards. I like to cook and he doesn’t want me to have a refrigerator or freezer. I can not buy fresh for every meal. Also no microwave because it isn’t healthy. Open shelving has no place to hide my mismatched dishes. It is beginning to feel ridiculous. I hope your style catches on for people who value functionality.

  16. BVoshol on November 30, 2022 at 7:07 am

I’m really trying to figure out how it works for cooking. Particularly with the oven, fridge, and sink all on the same wall. Does that get annoying at all? I know that standard advice is to have the work triangle. (Sorry, our kitchen is… a really weird space as it’s half an edition onto a house from the 1870s so I’m trying to figure out how not having that triangle affects cooking.)

  17. Dustin Gabladon on November 30, 2022 at 7:07 am

    What cabinets are those?

  18. Trails of Enzo enzo on November 30, 2022 at 7:08 am

  21. Barry Kavanagh on November 30, 2022 at 7:10 am

Hey DT! Love this kitchen, designed one very similar with the Ikea planner ๐Ÿ˜Š
Does that extractor fan require exhaust piping to be ran outside?

  22. Jack Morris on November 30, 2022 at 7:11 am

The place looks great! Can I ask where you got the tv cabinet from?

  24. Jael Louis on November 30, 2022 at 7:12 am

  30. Aparna on November 30, 2022 at 7:20 am

Can I ask how much you spent on the kitchen , I have exactly the same size as your and thinking of replicating this in mine especially the sink/ hob / dishwasher/ washer dryer area . I am planning to take the fridge freezer to dining room as a standalone piece

  31. Jon on November 30, 2022 at 7:21 am

Drawers within drawers are way too much effort.

  32. Stefan Modigh on November 30, 2022 at 7:22 am

The big question is…how did you both agree to the design?

  33. Madrid Cucho on November 30, 2022 at 7:23 am

Too fast narrative and video take, I have to slow down the player speed. Wonderful job anyways.

  38. adomolis on November 30, 2022 at 7:28 am

Hi. Just wondering what gap fill did you use at 3:24 between wall cabinets and wall there? Is that something ikea offers or did you cut it yourself?

  39. Mohamed Almasry on November 30, 2022 at 7:30 am

this. is a boring, messed up under the sink, far from being a "minimalistic" design !

  40. Shiro Toushin on November 30, 2022 at 7:30 am

How much did the kitchen cost?

  41. Gauthier Hecq on November 30, 2022 at 7:32 am

  44. D313 on November 30, 2022 at 7:35 am

I almost spit out my breakfast when I heard "splashback". ๐Ÿ™‚ Funny and interesting how different regions use different terms for the same thing

  45. woodenhifi on November 30, 2022 at 7:38 am

love the kitchen – how did you trim the top of the cabinets to the ceiling to get that gapless look please?

  49. dekaaizer on November 30, 2022 at 7:44 am

Those sinks that slightly rise up from the countertop are a big nono for me. Cant slide anything in with ease.
