This is amazing. But curious why you have both a laptop and the mac mini? Also any micro desktops on windows that you would suggest for in a van with low power consumption?

Some people use visible sims with cheap android phones and tether to a mini router off of amazon. I guess the mofi thing is to get a better signal.

I hate seeing laptops in drawers. laptops need good air flow, that laptop should be on a stand with the lid open so the screen doesn’t over heat and die faster then they do. you’ll get better performance the cooler you keep the laptop to.

im no expert but dont those power bank energy need to *0.6 for energy conversion rate or some shit? so the real runtime that you can get is only 60% of that 16 hours
its still a good 9-10 hours tho but certainly a lot lesser than what you’ve calculated? correct me if i’m wrong i just learnt that from my 20,000 mAh power bank after finding out how it is impossible to ditch out real 20,000 mAh due to energy lost during conversion like how it can only charge a 5000 mAh smartphone 2 times not 4 times.

I literally want to copy your whole setup, it’s perfect.
Can confirm the MoFi setup works. Used Mofi as my families main internet for over 1 year. Company I used provided an AT&T based SIM card for it which was good enough for most East coast USA travels. Speeds when at home base were better than local coverage could get as well. Saw 35-50 mbps up, 8-10 mbps down regularly. Mofi was not affected by weather that much either, unless a hurricane came through and knocked out cell service. Mofi is a good option for van life, rv life, farm life etc where the normal cable company or whomever doesn’t have high speed there. I literally worked on a Mofi throughout the entirety of 2020 pandemic doing video calls and much more while my kids were home streaming their Netflix stuff. Check your cell service and check with a company to see who the sim is provided by. Other than that, it’s a solid option to break away from normal at home services.
Really appreciated the minimal bloat and the core details (gaming setup houres, etc). Not a huge gamer anymore, but I’m a computer scientist looking to go fully remote and switch to the van, so your needs mirror my own.

If you ever decide to go tower- checkout the Salvo S402. You can throw a three slot GPU in there, and you can probably slap it below the mac mini so you aren’t sacrificing leg room in the process. Or- right where the Razer is, and bolt it to the underside of the table. You aren’t getting the power saving benefits though- so I guess it’s not really an option though.
