Is laminate what the uk call varnish?
With both of my kids, I used a dresser that I got from a thrift store, repainted it to match the room, and used the top of it for a changing table. Worked so well, and I plan to do the same with my baby due in April!! Love your channel and adore you!!
Do you have at least 6 months of rent saved up? What is your plan for working when you have a newborn? This is not a hate comment I’m just a little worried for you.. I wouldnt recommend spending a lot on home goods when the mature responsible decision would be to save every dollar for the future
For laminate tables it’s not real wood (there’s no wood grain underneath, just particle board). If it’s not laminate , but a really thick finish, then you need paint stripper. If it is laminate, keep an eye on the paint because it will scratch off or bubble over time because the paint won’t adhere to the laminate. You have to buy special super adhesive paint. I love your ideas for the furniture!

That editing you giggle 🤣 I think you need an electric sander to get down to unfinished wood so it would soak up the stain…even though it’s sped up watching you movin all over the place n down n up off the floor yeah that’s amazing!!! Ever considered being an interior decorator? You’d be awesome at that!

Girl I just made the same mistake DIY’ing my furniture last month. You need an actual automatic sander and different sized grit paper and about 8 hours of work just sanding alone 😅 learned that lesson the hard way. Painted over laminate and it separated 🥴

Are you worried at all about the fumes / using cleaning products?? (This isn’t a hate comment I love you!! Don’t come for me) just curious cuz when I was pregnant everyone told me to stay away from those things. I had to do all my cleaning with vinegar cuz my hubby wouldn’t let me use any cleaning products lol.
