For me the trend is security, renovation and TLC. Basics. Declutter and WFH and personal space coordination. Doing all in a little over 1100 sq. Ft. Ranch style home is a challenge. My windows and bath are a must. Taking care of my health as well is just over the top on a fixed budget.

Your Home should be a direct reflection of You. Your favorite colours, Your Style, Your Ideas, not an ad for a mag. Trends bring in things that can compliment Your Style but should never dictate Your Style. Gold/Brass and lacquer accents are Trends that have faded and emerged several times in the last 50 years…..faded

Let’s get back from saving the planet to exaggerated over consumerism to make sure next pandemic is just around the corner. Not sure I would want to wear high hills again ( glam staff). In my opinion natural, reused repurposed will be next trend.
Personally I think the modern trend with tons of made in china type crap & showrooms of non meaningful cheap mass produced art and decor are on the way out. People are beginning to realize authentic Modern, classic, antique and vintage, can co exist and look timeless. I also believe all white is out and the white and neutral trend will follow suit. Timeless and classical rooms and kitchen are never dated. Some bright color besides neutrals should never be banned as they have been with the current trends the past several years. Perhaps our younger generation will learn this and then have money for experiences instead of the constant updating of kitchen, and home decor, and the hamster wheel of always updating. We need to learn from the europeans!

Great content! I know that designers love neutral backdrop… but am I the only one that wants to see this grey/white etc trend end?
I would love to see some colors and warmth come back in design. Currently so many of the rooms all look alike. Just me I guess
Nomadic: Yeaah! Finally, no more eye rolling from my friends and family when I say where the pieces in my home ACTUALLY came from. I was ‘there" and often am. I don’t buy magnets and souvenirs I just buy an art piece of that place. Elegant, not worldwide bazaar. Thanks.

Greece for a year would be fabulous! Not only selfishly because I’m designing my home in what I have been calling “Greek Japandi” but also because you’ll be a hop skip and a jump away from all the beautiful design and architecture of the south of France and Italy.. would be content GOLD and I would love to see what you could do with the Au Natural and mixed metals in a blank space with all white concrete. Do it!! YOLO!
