I don’t like designs that make you feel like your living in a hotel. If it’s something you wanna live long-term you want your place to look homely and make you feel comfortable. Not live a place where your afraid if you accidentally move a piece of furniture it would destroy the overall look. Just my 2 cents…

I would have installed a Murphy bed so they could have more space to entertain or exercise. Other than that, it’s great.

I love how she gave them style and function in a small space. It looks great.

It looks wonderful. And so smart and it looks like you were budget savvy. I do wonder if the coffee table could "rise" and become a dining table . I would also have made the sofa into a storage sofa or sectional and for the bed even Ikea has aMalm bed that lifts up into storage. I suggest that because I fit three large suitcases in the queen size be and still had room for boxes, blankets, baskets etc. A couple of storage ottomans and you have seating and more storage.

    Gorgeous! Is there a bathroom?

  18. Rebecca Treeseed on July 11, 2021 at 3:19 am

Nicely done, Nikki! This is the best I’ve seen on your show.

Honestly, I think it feels a bit bland and hotel-y sterile. Nothing of the personality of the owners shines through.

  20. Lizzy H on July 11, 2021 at 3:24 am

I’m interested in how you organized the closet ….nice btw !

  21. mybestideas1 on July 11, 2021 at 3:26 am

Fabulous. But why would anybody buy something so tiny? (and pay mortgage plus huge maintenance fees?)

  22. Nalani on July 11, 2021 at 3:26 am

She completely TRANSFORMED this apartment. What a smart and talented designer she is!

    Wow she is amazing!!!

  27. skaterboy3718 on July 11, 2021 at 3:30 am

I love the look but I think some sounder choices might help. The bedroom isn’t that big and pull out drawers ometimes are problematic. A storage bed where the bed lifts up tends to have more space. I would also suggest a coffee table that becaming a dining table for eating or parties would be nice. i think something needed to be done to creae mre storage as well. But wow, what a great look.

  28. Clowdhemp99 on July 11, 2021 at 3:30 am

Wow that was absolutely amazing. I’m trying to decorate and manage my large furniture for my 1 bdrm now. Needed ideas and this designer beautifully provided that.

  36. Mel C on July 11, 2021 at 3:35 am

she made the space look great and chic even with so little space to work with. love it

  37. LQL on July 11, 2021 at 3:39 am

The problem in her design is functionality.

The desk area in the living room left nowhere to put your legs, and that small ottoman is hardly adequate seating for a desk.

The lack of side tables in the bedroom is impractical. Where would you place your cellphone, a book, maybe hand lotion just before you fall asleep? No one wants to get out of the bed to put those items away.

It must function as well as look good.
