Renter-Friendly Apartment Bathroom Makeover Tutorial

Renter-Friendly Apartment Bathroom Makeover Tutorial

I have been living in my home for almost 5 months now and I was finally motivated to spruce up my shared bathroom. When I first moved into this rental with my boyfriend he had been sharing it with a roommate. Decorating was last on their priority list so I decided to give it a rental friendly bathroom upgrade.

  2. Tonie Hilton on May 22, 2021 at 3:59 am

Will it come off? Lol just in case they didn’t like it

  3. amal raad on May 22, 2021 at 3:59 am

You have done an awesome job anyways

  4. Keri Stevenson on May 22, 2021 at 4:03 am

The contact paper vanity looks amazing, but seriously the edges must have come up all over really quickly, and that was a heck of a lot of work!

  5. Gina D on May 22, 2021 at 4:05 am

U did an awesome job, the question i have is how easy it is to remove the contact papers from the wall and sink when you are moving out??

  6. ZionsDaughters on May 22, 2021 at 4:07 am

You shouldn’t have your makeup board near the toilet. Anything near it gets contaminated. Keep your makeup inside your cabinet or in another room.

  7. Patricia Nojiri on May 22, 2021 at 4:08 am

This is so lovely! Is it easy to clean and disinfect the contact paper? Do you find it starts to peel over time?

  8. FoodShowFan on May 22, 2021 at 4:10 am

How long did each process take you?

    What a great job

  11. Joyce Erath on May 22, 2021 at 4:13 am

Looks nice and a whole lot better, but you need to change the shower curtains with something that would coordinate with the tiles and wall paper, maybe white with gray would look good! Otherwise, 👍🏼!

girl this is so cute i love it!

  14. CharleysAquaticNook on May 22, 2021 at 4:17 am

A PRO tip: No need to use two strips of contact paper on cabinet. Start at far right of cabinet and allow for 1-2 extra inches to overlap the wall then use a razor blade and cut off excess.

I love the wallpaper. You need the Sink Topperr. It’s the best thing ever for small bathroom with no counter space. I got mine on Amazon

My lease has a no contact paper or Command hook clause. They said too many renters caused damage using these products. I don’t know how true it is. Anyone have damages when removing these products?

  19. Zan Psimer on May 22, 2021 at 4:19 am

    Love this.

  23. Chippy L on May 22, 2021 at 4:25 am

Turned out beautiful! You make it look so easy! I also rent and have the ugliest cabinets in my bathroom. Might be time to try the contact paper trick! Not sure what to do about the old linoleum floor that’s also a disaster. Might just have to live with it, but with beautifully redone cabinets, maybe it won’t be as noticeable!
    Thanks for sharing ❤

When you remove that wall paper doesn’t ruin the wall?

  26. sajero2 on May 22, 2021 at 4:30 am

  27. Blondie Boss on May 22, 2021 at 4:31 am

  30. Hannah Schumacher on May 22, 2021 at 4:36 am

You NAILED IT with that contact paper!! Not a seam to be seen

  31. Naijah Edwards on May 22, 2021 at 4:38 am

Do you have to remove this once you leave? I will be renting and definitely want to do a make over like this

  32. Jen Krikshiunas on May 22, 2021 at 4:38 am

With it being wallpaper will it be hard to peel off when you move? Like taking existing paint with it or not all the glue coming off? I’m not asking at all to be rude, I just really want to do this with my new rental but I’m afraid

  33. scarletjazz on May 22, 2021 at 4:39 am

Wow! Grrl you can get down! I’ve never seen anyone handle wallpaper like that. Good job! Very nice!

Love it but would of painted the rest a bright white

  37. amal raad on May 22, 2021 at 4:42 am

I loved everything but maybe you can paint the floor with white or beige as well as adding some wall paper on the frame around the windows. And painting the power point.

  38. musiclover2547 on May 22, 2021 at 4:42 am

I seen the way you were applying the contact paper NICE. This is the way I going to this process when the time comes.

  39. MISS Thommas on May 22, 2021 at 4:44 am

OMG i cannot believe your cabinet was not painted lol. I took my eyes off the video for a second and had to rewind to see you putting the paper on. Great work

  40. Jenny Pena on May 22, 2021 at 4:45 am

I love all that you did to upgrade your bathroom!!! Maybe get another big black basket to match size of the toilet paper one to fit towels better and put the smaller one some other place you could use it maybe above it for more decoration inside or wash cloths. I want to know more about your magnetic makeup board. Please make a video… unless you have one. Did you put individual magnetic sticker on the bottom of everything? Where did you purchase the magnetic board? Thank you for your great ideas.

    Great Job✨

  48. Danelle Malchus on May 22, 2021 at 4:51 am

That’s great! I was really hoping you’d do sticky floor tiles too😊

  49. Raquel Vier on May 22, 2021 at 4:51 am

Vintage tile is awesome. I would’ve just added some maroon accents especially since there’s already pink going on. Covering it all was an odd choice.

  50. Madeleine Perkins on May 22, 2021 at 4:53 am

Great job..floor tiles might finish it off…peel and stick?
