This is part 3 and the last in my my Farmhouse Office Decor series, here I show you how you can quickly and easily transform 3 regular pieces you may already have lying around your home and just by giving them a quick makeover, can make them tie in with your rustic farmhouse style decor. I transformed a white plastic tray into my ‘in’ tray for my desk, 2 white candle stick holders were given a rustic makeover and a plain pine storage box was given a quick stain to make it more ‘rustic’ looking.

wow the baskets really look metallic now! so cool…
Can you make plastic look more like wood with paint, though? I have plastic frames (because they were 4 x cheaper than wood ones – we don’t really have "euro store" in France so DIY is actually not a cheap hobby to have) but really prefer wood feel. I’m hoping by sanding a bit the plastic than painting it in white or light grey it will, well, look less like painted plastic 😀
