I’m a store manager at Pier 1 in the USA … Yes many stores are closing like so many retailers it’s a tough market out there. And yes we definitely are not a " cheap" store in price or quality- the dollar tree we are not — but when you said …." they can stay here and look pretty " I spit my wine out laughing !!! I enjoy all your videos please keep sharing !!! I enjoy your nature walk ones too and look forward to warmer weather for you …..

Our Pier One is closing, as are many of their stores here in the US.
They do have some nice decor but like you said even on sale they’re a little pricey. Sadly a lot of these stores will shut down because of internet sales and Walmart. Which hey I love shopping at Amazon , there’s nothing you can’t find and you can compare prices from different sellers. Eventually Amazon will shut down Walmart’s brick and mortar stores.

I like Cost Plus World Market. Very similar to Pier 1 but with food, booze, and much better prices! Nice to see you somewhere other than DT…lol

I told a lady at church who’d like to read so I’ll take and share with her. She’s the wife of a prominent attorney here. They both have Parkinson’s disease. Breaks my heart!!He’s my age and she several years younger. I usually help her part way to the car after church. Another widow of another prominent attorney who passed in 2012.her husband was also an author. I asked Becky.the first lady about the books. They sound very interesting and I was going to try to locate them. Becky said she has copies and will loan so I can read. She, Susie, the widow, and I wound up sitting together on Friday at a memorial service for a friend of ours who passed the week before. It was so funny because after the service the minister came to us and said we looked like a dangerous group. Susie said you’re safe, we’re not talking about you!! I’m so glad I went back and transferred my membership back to this church. I belonged there decades ago. I know many of the members and they have made me feel so welcome. I felt honored to be with those two ladies, like I was special!! They are both really sweet ladies. Like you are a sweet lady!! Xoxo
