Are you looking for some small bedroom organizing and decorating ideas?! I recently gave my daughter Izzy’s bedroom a mini makeover on a small budget. You can make a big change very fast in your space just by making a few small changes:
Move the furniture
Add CHEAP Walmart bookshelves
Turn your closet into an office space
Replace your dresser with cube shelving
Take advantage of wall space
Add peel-and-stick wallpaper (it’s easily removable)
Add pillow and curtains
DECLUTTER!!!!!

The bedroom was amazing! Selling a house is a major stressor in the first place, second guessing your choices is raising the stress to another level! Personally I think the lack of offers isn’t decor related, most home buyers are focused on other factors! Price, room for family and essential items and location! Check with your realtor to see what is selling in your neighborhood! Blessed days!

Do you have any special tips on how to organize the flat which is just twice bigger than that bedroom? I would love to watch a video about it.

I would find one thing that’s reasonable to repaint that makes an impact (and doesn’t totally clash). I’m with the people saying, paint the kitchen white. White kitchens are super popular, and it brightens a large space. Paint the cupboard white and leave baseboards black to tie it in with the rest of the black in the house. Take this with a grain of salt – I’m not an interior designer, and the kitchen is my favorite room in the house so I’m very biased. Hope this helps slightly!

I shared a room with my sister my entire childhood until I was at least 17. Her room isn’t that small…

Aren’t Walmart “Book” shelves more like knickknack shelves? I don’t think they hold much weight. But if you don’t have books, they’re great!

Ok, real talk…if I was your buyer, I would LOVE EVERYTHING about your house, except the kitchen (and I’ve never seen your yard, so I can’t say).
Maybe HIRE someone to rennovate the kitchen and film it so you make money on filming the transformation. It’s not just the black, it is the out of date granite and tile too. You can try doing it on the cheap if you cover over the granite (I’ve seen people stick marble vinal covering sheets over granite or paint it or smear cement over it or…??) WHITE, bright, light is a good idea. Kitchens are a big deal to buyers.
Best idea: Maybe hire a youtube decorator who will transform it for free (minus materials) in trade for exposure to help them get subscribers. ? Keep us posted on whatever you do.
What if you removed the upper kitchen cabinets and replaced with some open shelving /new light cabinets?😅💚
Hang up some of the former greenery on the boom shelves. Need rug at foot of bed. Looks amazing.

Painted white especially the kitchen to make it big and bright I would never buy a house with black in the kitchen

With the black staining…can you maybe distress it or maybe there’s a hack to pull stain from wood? I’m sure if that’s something that you feel is possibly a concern, maybe you can just tweak it as a diy, have you looked up to see if anyone else has done anything to alter black stain? I’m sure there are options to spruce it up in a different way….maybe see if there’s any information about your demographic in your area and look up other homes in a close enough radius for sale to see if there are similar color schemes or see if they’re having any issues, maybe it’s just a lull in realty..I feel like it’s like that in New Jersey from what I hear from clientele that are realtors (I’m a barber), don’t panic, everything will work out, it always does, just breathe and ask for a sign (an obvious/clear sign to avoid any confusion, etc…) and you’ll know what to do. ❤ I wish you and your family the best and calming energies for you!!

Its ok, paint the cabinets kitchen white and walls. Leave doors black and rails black. Window edge to. Doing this simple it will sell. Good luck.

Where did you get that container hanging on the cart? That looks really useful
not colours i would naturally think for this age group but if she is happy fair enough. i used two sideboards and dad put one on top of the other and we fixed together with brackets and then to the wall too. took the door of and left two drawers on the top sideboard and dad made a shelf over the top of the top drawer to cover the drawer so you couldn’t see what was in side the drawer. i didn’t want to have the cubes of 30cm by 30cm as i found everyone has them and its not good for me i didnt want to have the same as everyone else and wanted the oles to be bigger some are like 40cm so i can put a 30cm drawer or box in if i wish but have room down the side to stand books. etc.
I’m 40, and I guess I’m too big for this, right? I love it

Just discovered you today – how have I lived w/o you? This makeover was so fun to watch. You and your family are so entertaining and lovely. WHY DID YOU STAIN EVERYTHING BLACK? But seriously, I dont know where you live but wherever it is, I would just consider the basic styles of the typical buyer in your area and the style of the neighborhood and try to keep your house’s style as close to that as possible. If anyone can do it, its you. All it takes is one perfect buyer.❤
