Please look into Luci Lights. Little solar lights that you can recharge on the car dashboard, no batteries.

I wanted to watch this, but in typical millennial/gen z fashion she said "like" and "super" (like an 80’s valley girl) so many times in the first few minutes that it became painful. These people really need to learn how to speak.

  7. Dice Entertainment on June 12, 2023 at 1:29 pm

It’s funny to see that van because I had a brother in-law that had a green one that lasted 2 days before everything blew up on it

I lost everything and ended up in my Yukon running cross-country. When I got to the east coast, my transmission gave out. I didn’t have $5000 for a transmission and had to give up my Yukon and try to finance an SUV while literally being homeless, and turns out it was a shit substitute. Today everything is smaller, plastic and Maneuverability inside was so bad I’m looking at getting a van just like yours to give up the monthly payment. People like to talk about measuring the amount you put into something to determine it’s worth, but to someone else. You’re not building for them- so you don’t have to care. Anyway, what you spent on the van seems like what you might pay in rent for a year. Only, now you don’t have to pay the whole monthly bill anymore. It’s your safety net. Love your enclosed bedroom, btw, what a nice nest. You took your options and ran the way you wanted. That’s the best any of us can do. And you’ve got something meaningful out of it that nobody can take away. Good for you.

I bet she get rayped and killed by illegals

  17. Bob Thompson on June 12, 2023 at 1:43 pm

You can re-seal the barrel with regular wood glue. First, glue the crack and clamp it with a ratchet strap. Then, just paint the inside. I think you can dilute it some before painting the inside. You might want a second opinion.

    AWESOME

Frig/cooler. Management of it. Great perspective. Folks who have had hard challenges don’t need more but what she says is true for many.

I’ve been obsessed with these van life videos. This is the first one I’ve seen that addresses the matter of your menstrual cycle. Thank you for being up front with this issue. I can’t imagine going through this and not having access to daily showers and plumbing. I’d probably just get a cheap hotel because a compost toilet and bird baths are not gonna cut it.

  28. FM Graham on June 12, 2023 at 1:56 pm

So, you’ve never built anything, yet, you achieved this build? Hey, I’m about to do a truck box, then trailer conversion. How about I get you to do it, instead? Free pizza & beer? Seriously, nice job!

So much love understanding and respect. I find to this to be admirable. I truly love this, and I too have been looking at many women doing solo van life with traveling and looking at the beauty of places they want to go, and things they want to do.

  34. franko smith on June 12, 2023 at 2:02 pm

Well good on you girl. Necessity is the mother of all inventions, and you nailed it. A lot of men wouldn’t have the balls to do what you have, and I love your wee falourey stove. You can buy a service battery which may fit into your engine compartment, for your lights, etc, Which recharges off your alternator when driving and get a 12v small TV… I’m 71, retired and alone now, so I’m watching some of these builds for ideas. But I only need it for weekends away fishing, drinking, fighting in pub and chasing women? Ha….I have a home so am only going for a small van for cheaper Insurance, and I want a gasoline engine van, as I don’t like the sound and fumes of diesel engines. But each to your own. So good luck and thanks. I’ll check out your boat efforts. What about one of those big flying boats? I mean you could claim to have nailed road, sea and air travel, and travel the world and live in that, as well?😅

Great job! And sad, that more and more people need to live in their cars because rents are not affordable anymore! I would as well live in a van, because I wouldn’t want support that development. You have done a wonderful job. I wish you all the luck of the world. You are a strong woman!

    Woodstoves are Best,
Because you can burn FREE Fuel & any Waste that will burn.
    The Double WIN is,
It will heat the van for Zero Cost, PLUS heat water & Cook Food on the Stove Top.

But Also have a Diesel Heater as a Back up, / alternative Heat source. Without lighting a Fire, in High Fire Risk areas or no Wood Available, or
Similar Situations & Cost of buying Wood or Diesel.

Always have Choices & Options ready to use According to Your needs on THAT Day in THAT Location & Weather etc.

Always have a ~Portable Gas Camping stove & Spare Gas Cannisters For EMERGENCIES.

    3 Things ESSENTIAL to Life,
    1) Clean Water,
    2) food,
    3) warmth / Heating, Thick Bedding etc. & Warm Clothing, Or Large Sunshade if in a Hot Climate . & Extra Fresh Drinking Water.

  43. Bonnie Dunn on June 12, 2023 at 2:09 pm
