Props to you for solo camping. But, one tip to keep in mind. If you lay down the ground tarp under your tent. If any little bit is sticking out from under your tent and it rains during the night you can wake up in a pond. The water runs down the tent, the tarp catches it, and it runs under your tent. Just saying.

May I ask, why do you not have a weather cover over your bike? Keeps moisture out of switches, etc.

I got my first bike about 6 months ago. My husband wants to take me on a backroads trip to the NC Outer Banks (camping at Ocracoke). We live in the center of NC, so it’s going to be a long first ride. I’m terrified, but also extremely excited. At age 55, this has been a bucket list item of mine for at least 15 years. Better late than never, right? Thanks SO much for giving me incentive to get on and RIDE!
