I love the organizer!!! Love the navy. It’s the color of our temporary rental house’s kitchen/dining area. The area is 14’x32′. With white wainscotting on the dining rm end. I’m actually thinking I want to paint my kitchen navy with white cabinets I love it so much!! The pennant is adorable and the coasters came out great!!

I LOVE that ikea storage thing! Staining the drawers was a great idea. Also, you probably know this, but if you’re staining a porous wood, like pine, it helps to use a wood conditioner before staining to ensure an even coat!

I received coasters as a bday present a few years back, lovely marble ones with my initials on them in metal. I liked the gift but grew to love it as I used them all the time. So the time came when I needed to buy more. MARBLE COASTERS ARE DAMN EXPENSIVE. Like 40 bucks on amazon for 4. I appreciated the gift more since then and I’ll continue to look for more to match but it may be a cost vs worth thing end game. They’ll be used every day so it’s worth it for the cost. TLDR: got coasters for a bday present, thought it was odd, quickly became one of the best presents I’d ever got.
I so appreciate you showing that taking time to prep a project before painting is the right thing to do and worth the time. Often I’m just so excited to get to the finished product that I sometimes talk myself into cutting corners that later I regret. Thank you for being consistent on this point and showing that patience is a virtue!!
