I really dislike the “all white” anything, it makes me feel like I’m in a mental ward. I see it a lot in minimalist homes, it’s boring and sterile.

  2. Blanca Ramirez on December 21, 2020 at 12:02 am

Where did you find that lamp?

  3. Donita Ballard on December 21, 2020 at 12:05 am

Mirrors and glass. Please leave that behind in 2020. 😂

  4. Alvina Desir on December 21, 2020 at 12:09 am

Okay just found you, and I’m planning on a barn door singular,….. for my studio. Separate kitchen bathroom, reason, the door just takes too much space, I do have space for it to slide behind the sofa and it wouldn’t take much space… surely that’s okay… not that I’d listen to anyone but good advice I’m all ears 😂😂😂…

  5. Hannah Lewis on December 21, 2020 at 12:09 am

I will be SO GLAD to see the barn doors go! BYEEEEEE

  6. Jernique Morgan on December 21, 2020 at 12:14 am

I still love me my grays, I use accent furnitures to make my rooms pop but sorry my grays isn’t going anywhere. This is my taste and what makes me happy. I brought my house with a green living room and it drove me crazy. Decorate in what makes you happy. You have to live in it.

  7. Dutchess of Cyber on December 21, 2020 at 12:15 am

All white kitchen is timeless 🥰

  8. Terri Leonard on December 21, 2020 at 12:15 am

We don’t care what you say , we do what we like , Yikes don’t even know why I’m here .🙄

  9. Kyndal Killebrew on December 21, 2020 at 12:16 am

I dont like a lot of people in my house, so I really don’t care whats trending. I’m putting what I want in here and Im not painting yearly lol.

  10. regina decuzzi on December 21, 2020 at 12:18 am

ship lap needs to go too

  11. Terri Peirce on December 21, 2020 at 12:18 am

Well, it’s almost 2021, and I still want a BARN DOOR!!!!

  12. Gail Simon on December 21, 2020 at 12:18 am

I say do what you like and are comfortable with. Trends come and go!

  13. Lysa Lange on December 21, 2020 at 12:22 am

    I agree with all 3!

  14. Antoinette Bloomfield on December 21, 2020 at 12:26 am

No reason to go back to frumpy and ugly because of a Pandemic ✅

  15. kevseb66 on December 21, 2020 at 12:26 am

I’m no pro. decorator but, to me, all white/ grey spaces (especially when even the flooring is grey) always feels cold, clinical, harsh and poorly thought out. For me a living space with so much coolness going on needs the addition of warmth somewhere as well to look and feel right.

  16. MISS Thommas on December 21, 2020 at 12:29 am

Thanks but i like grey, so thats the floor i’ll get 😊

  17. Ty Ty on December 21, 2020 at 12:29 am

All this is accurate! I’m renovating my kitchen and everyone is telling me to go with white to make it look bigger! NO!! White makes me feel cold so I’m going with dark walnut or expresso, open shelves on one side with a bright pretty tile to contrast the dark cabinets! I can’t wait!!! And I’m sick of the all grey scheme too! I’ve been telling ppl forever that it’s a trend that won’t stick around long!

  18. Penelope Periwinkle on December 21, 2020 at 12:31 am

I’m so over the gray cabinets. I have always hated the barn doors.

  19. Michele Pinney on December 21, 2020 at 12:34 am

Not taking my barn door down because it’s not a trend in 2021! smh

  20. Get Back to the Barre on December 21, 2020 at 12:35 am

Immediately liked when I saw barn doors!

  21. Araceli Rodriguez on December 21, 2020 at 12:37 am

I love all your ideas !

  22. Juana S on December 21, 2020 at 12:39 am

What about taking the countertops all the way up to the backsplash

  23. Dwuna Henton on December 21, 2020 at 12:40 am

Growing up in the 70’s and 80’s I’m still tired of brown interior. I’m still going with Gray flooring over brown. The colors you said are in I can see those in my space with the gray and white room. For the kitchen,, I do like the darker lower cabinets in a white kitchen. I’m wondering if you get the same affect in a smaller kitchen?

  24. B Thompson on December 21, 2020 at 12:41 am

I’m in the process of buying a new house. I will not consider grey floors.

  25. Dana Michigan on December 21, 2020 at 12:42 am

Thank you for the "all gray EVERYTHING"! Cool colors are so depressing to me! All I can hear in my head is David Bromstad saying, "So when did you become afraid of color?" lol!

  26. Giselle Pierre on December 21, 2020 at 12:44 am

Disagree on the grey tone palette. Its a neutral that goes with warm and cool. Try pairing it with red, purple, blue, forest green or even, peaches, pinks etc. It really pops against the grey.

  27. Together WeCan on December 21, 2020 at 12:44 am

I don’t follow trends. Everyone should decorate how they see fit.

  28. Dorothy Demoss on December 21, 2020 at 12:44 am

OMG does anyone else wonder if this lady could still talk if she hand no hands ???? ROTFLMAO.

  29. jamaital on December 21, 2020 at 12:45 am

2021 and beyond…….be you. Whether you design style is hospital sterile or downright eclectic decorate your “home” with love and forget about maintaining showroom trends.

  30. Ericka Rogers on December 21, 2020 at 12:48 am

So basically 90% of the people in the comments came to a video about trends just to say they don’t follow trends?!?

  31. Lu GioF on December 21, 2020 at 12:48 am

The minimal all grey is my gem! Don’t touch it and don’t ruin it for me! Lol 😝

  32. deborah renee on December 21, 2020 at 12:51 am

    Nonsense

  33. Jen Eichler on December 21, 2020 at 12:51 am

I understand your points but you do realize most people still have the builders original fixtures … flush mount lights and that gross brown/copper granite from Home Depot 😂😂😂

  34. Marylou De Los Santos on December 21, 2020 at 12:52 am

Make it a great day. Thank you for sharing tips to welcome the New Year 2021. Very helpful, something different. Change is good!

  35. Andie242 on December 21, 2020 at 12:52 am

Grey cannot be written off, it comes in warm and cool undertones. If paired with mid brown parquet floors, neutral ”cloud grey” looks bomb.

  36. Jessica Ryan on December 21, 2020 at 12:52 am

    Such great advice!

  37. Zainab Aktar on December 21, 2020 at 12:53 am

    I totally agree!!!

  38. Tisa Ligon-Roman on December 21, 2020 at 12:55 am

I agree with every point. Well said. Unfortunately these ideas were so heavily saturated in the minds of designers and the like that ppl never took the time to actually focus on the style of the house or the individuality of each house. I will say that all gray decor, never been a fan. Too cold and unemotional and un inviting to say the least. Thank you for sharing.

  39. K T on December 21, 2020 at 12:56 am

Good to know! We are about to re-do our kitchen. Thank you.

  40. Karen Hallinan on December 21, 2020 at 12:56 am

I love to walk into a home, and immediately be able to see that person’s personality, what attracts them.

  41. Halo B on December 21, 2020 at 12:56 am

I have to agree with the all white kitchen needing a contrast of color. My mom did her kitchen in all white and she’s bored with it and might do a slight remodeling to the kitchen.

  42. Teresa Ellis on December 21, 2020 at 12:57 am

Average people can not just change their house because it’s out of trend..do what you want…sometimes you have to live with what you got…save your money..2021 is gonna be rough..noone is gonna care what is on trend…

  43. susan hutchinson on December 21, 2020 at 12:57 am

I put in a barn door in my basement back in 2012. I still love it ! I’m all about eclectic decor and surrounding myself with things I love, not giving a thought about trying to be trendy!

  44. Tracym Creations on December 21, 2020 at 12:58 am

I was never a fan of the gray trend in the first place. Every fix and flip on the market is gray and white. They all look the same

  45. Gadget5point1 on December 21, 2020 at 12:58 am

Trend or not, many of my doors are being changed to barn door type because of ease of use from my chair. Guess I’ll be out of style. Oh well, at least I’ll be able to get into my bathroom! LOL

  46. Caroline Kelly on December 21, 2020 at 12:59 am

Can I suggest the completely open floor plan is something people won’t be doing forever. You end up seeing kitchen mess all the time.

  47. what? on December 21, 2020 at 12:59 am

My house is about 950 square. ft. 1 bath, with a barn door which I love because it saves space and 1 pocket door to the bedroom for the same reason. Don’t care about trends. Work with what you have, use common sense, good color choices, and arrangement. By the way, it also has an all white kitchen! Bright and light, I love it.

  48. Yeghine Nazarian on December 21, 2020 at 1:01 am

Amen, I think the world is ready to move on to new year. The new trends are gorgeous and as you mentioned they are the classics that tend to hold the test of the time.

  49. jasonjtapia on December 21, 2020 at 1:01 am

i love that lucite globe table lamp. Vintage?

  50. J B on December 21, 2020 at 1:01 am

I’m so sick of “designers” that dictate what is in or what is out. Let’s talk stainless steel appliances. Why!? They show fingerprints. Let’s talk dark colored floors. Why?! They show dust a day after you clean. Here’s my suggestion and I’m not a designer….if you like it? Do it! Like white cabinets? Buy white!
