Taxi Ride & Camping in Cinnamon Bay in St. John, Virgin Islands

Taxi Ride & Cinnamon Bay in St John, Virgin Islands – If you are looking for idea and basic information on how the ferry, the national park visitor information building, taxis and the Cinnamon Bay resort campground in St. John look like and how much they charge, you should watch this.

If you are a first time visitor in St. John Virgin Island like we were and have no clue what to expect, hopefully, this video gives you an idea how the campground and taxis look like, so you can plan better or make a decision if taking the cab or staying in Cinnamon Bay is right for you.

Cinnamon Bay campground (now being renamed “Cinnamon Bay Resort and Campground) is the campground inside the US national park.

Also, as mentioned in our previous videos, it takes almost a whole day to get to St. John coming from continental US. Taking the cab is just a small part of this process.

We basically flew from Houston (using Delta airlines), then stopped in Atlanta (their hub) and then flew to Charlotte Amalie airport in St. Thomas. Luckily, a friend picked us up from airport, so we can stay overnight at their house.

Ordinarily, you would take a cab from the Charlotte Amalie airport to Red Hook (the ferry station in St. Thomas), take the ferry to Cruz Bay on the st. John island and then take a cab or rent a car to get to your hotel/campground.

As you can see, this whole process takes a whole day. We are saying this, so that when planning for your trip, you allot enough time for a full day of traveling. Some people don’t realize that it takes a whole day to get there.

Plus, it’s fun to watch this video :-). You can follow us to our journey of visiting all 59 US national parks. The US Virgin Islands is our first park! 58 to go! 🙂

If you have any questions, feel free to comment down below and we will try to answer them for you (if we know the answer!). Good luck and enjoy the video!

WHO ARE WE?

We, Irwin and Victorina, have decided to quit our jobs, sell everything we have and go on an epic road trip of visiting all U.S. National Parks! Follow our journey – from letting go of our material possessions, preparing for the extended camping trip, and even the mistakes, joys, doubts and adventures we make along the way! We hope to inspire others to appreciate the beauty of Planet Earth.

Adventure begins in Feb 2017. We estimate this road trip will take us approximately 12 to 16 months. We know we will some amazing places and meet a lot of interesting people.

If you have an idea or suggestions for us for places to visit along the way, feel free to contact us!

NEW VIDEOS every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. If we miss a day, it is probably because we had no phone signal inside the park or we couldn’t find any wifi access. If this is the case, we will upload our video as soon as we get any phone signal.

Hahaha, that’s exactly what I ate when we had no microwave or stove in Puerto Rico! Guess Chef Boraydee is the standard of fine dining!
