This reminds me of how wrong America was in the direction it was heading, consumerism, selfishness, materialism, fascination with silly actors and pro sports figures, corporate slop trough jobs, mindless assembly line work factories that may have paid all too well, leaving people trapped. We are a doomed society with an mass epidemic of obesity, ignorance, and intolerance, all brough about from our lack of understanding of the human condition. EXCEPTIONAL?

Such a wonderful time, for white people.

I am thinking aside from the bad that has happened between 1900 and 1999, this is probably going to be the best century ever.

I couldn’t help but think that the integration process of getting all races to attend school together must have been fasinating to observe in terms of research for humam behaviors of previous seperation to suddenly share a room together. Almost like the high ups who truly make the decisions were the casting directors to a live action show called "America" and its being played out. Almost like its all has been orchestrated to lead to out modern time. I also cant help but thing that they made a wise decision because the wars of the future needed all the American Soilders it can get. Another reason as to why segregation would have eventually ended in the event that segregation was still being a think. It was in the best Interests for America go adopt diversity. For the sake of coninutation of the Country. I dont know if people back then who opposed togetherness eventually saw the bigger picture here that a threat from another country was the realy danger and concern and not so much your fellow neighbor.

7:00 – Regardless if it was fake or not, i can only imagine that the many people watching the moon landing felt like we were reaching for the Attic to our planet, and space and the moon was our Attic. A place humans have avoided and had thought it would be impossible to cross over the boundary. True or not, the collectiveness of this new aware paved the way to technology advancing, accelerating.

And there are time where i strongly believe that a lot of American ideas are in a way a work of fiction. Some get brought to life, others choose to live with a lie to carry over the next generation of progress. Perhaps some space/moon clips were fake…and others may have been real. A mix of both.

I remember sadly the double suicide of Mike Vaverka and Jessica Arthur in Oct. of 1963. They were high school students who couldn’t face the humiliation, etc. of their pregnancy being known. Their death still haunts me!

The destruction of our country was underway with forces behind the curtain (which we cant name)and our own government pushing free love and drug degenercy , anti family feminism ,abortions , birth control, divorce, replacement migration, outsourced manufacturing and no one understood it was never about “equality, fighting communism, deregulation, desegregation..it was about where we are today.

Summers we’d rent at Hotel room with kitchenettes and enjoy all summer at the beach and pool, they had contests, games, dancing and many water sports to attend to. My favorite was the Castaways in Miami Beach.

The 60s is the only era of America I’d love to be a part of. I would honestly just be taking a bunch of shrooms and acid, fuck a bunch of nerdy white girls, and stay on the beautiful California coast

Nice video but tends to romanticize the 60s a little too much. What about the Vietnam war, assassinations, social unrest, riots, the worthless dirt bag counter culture, free love that began the start of social diseases. Don’t forget that😮

  24. Seek Justice2 on June 26, 2023 at 2:15 pm

Would be my dream to be alive during the 60s. Serious if I could I would.

It was all about the Vietnam War. That was the major thing for most of the decade. That war ruined us.

With out a doubt, the best time to grow up. I was born in 1953 and got to experience it all. So much going on. The music was and still is the best ever. The world stage was in a constant state of change. An awesome time to grow up and witness it all.👍👍

Exactly like my years… immigrated in 1957, used to buy my sneakers directly at the Converse Rubber Company factory in Malden, MA. In 1966 graduated from Medford High School and I 1968 frown Wentworth Institute of Technology. Today retired in Sardinia, Italy, and I still make treasure of my childhood years in America… Thank-You All

The 60s was the end of the nuclear family or could be said the beginning of the end f the feminist 🤔

  37. Pen Max on June 26, 2023 at 2:24 pm

Although I like 1960s designs, but just about every single video of the 60s architecture design are filled with white people only. History taught us it was still a very racist decade. Thank God I’m much younger!!! Glad I didn’t live in the 60s, just like some of their designs.

If you were making $2.00 an hr. You were lucky, but rent was cheep ! I was a teenager..

  41. June Mason on June 26, 2023 at 2:32 pm

The video was excellent. I was born in 1949 and was a freshman in high school when our Principal announced on the intercom that the President had been shot in Dallas. A little while later he came back on intercom and announced that President Kennedy was dead and school was being dismissed for the day. It was a very sad day in our country. As my brother was a baseball fan, I watched the game when Roger Maris broke Babe Ruth"s record for homeruns. It was a good time and a sad time during the 60s because so much change was taking place rapidly. I wouldn’t change anything about my teenage years of the 60s because I learned to appreciate and respect differences of opinion of others. That was one of the best things about the 60s, learning to respect all races and appreciate how much I was able to learn by accepting differences in ideas and moral and spiritual beliefs. Good job you two!!!!

  42. Steven M on June 26, 2023 at 2:32 pm

We are not in the same reality. Mt Rushmore were only the heads of the presidents, now in this reality Washington has a full suit.

I grew up in Brooklyn NY in the 60s so living in a larger city we had more than just 3 television stations to choose from , if I remember correctly we had channels 2 – CBS , 4 – NBC , 5 – WNEW , 7 – ABC , 9 – WOR , 11 – WPIX , 13 – PBS ,,,,,,,, we were pretty lucky to have all those stations, and thinking about it now the programming was better than , I now have cable television and something like 300 channels but there never seems to be anything good on , and today we’re getting 10 and 12 minute commercial breaks , in the 60s it was like 2 minutes tops .

For us New Yorkers, 1967 marked a major milestone. That was the year that New York City got its first air-conditioned subway cars. Before that, a subway train during a summer rush hour was like a sauna bath on wheels.
