Insider hack, if you want to travel to ventral or south America, fly there, buy a used low mileage Landcruiser for $8k, put on 10k miles and sell it in the US for $20k. Add a rooftop tent and you can have a 4 month vacation for free. Just check prices in different countries as some are double the price as others
